General consensus on the AVSForum is that this is a great medium room subwoofer. It's got the digital controls and the 12" is enough to get a solid rumble while retaining responsiveness. Sure you can dump a lot more into a large sub, but this thing seems to do the job and has a pretty solid reputation (and brand heritage).

I've got the RW-10d in our living room (smaller cone, same design) and it's been reliable for years.
