Woot sure has a lot of deals that suck!

Just wondering how well it sucks...is it really worthy?

@cpheral: It is. This Electrolux Oxygen line is highly rated for its power. It's also far quieter with a HEPA filter (measured to have rather low exhaust particle count by independent testing). Better than the crappy Dyson on Dyson.Woot, although it has a little bit of hit-or-miss reliability (Electrolux is kind of famous for that iffiness right now). Normally closer to $300. I would rather have a Miele, as always, but at this price this is worth it. The cheapest Miele new would be $299 minimum, although it is vastly superior.

Hey, this isn't a Dyson. Did I accidentally wander off of Woot?

@lll0228: Totally agree. Electrolux now is not the same Electrolux known in the past. They made in China not in Sweden and quality sucks big way. Also this vac is REFURBISHED not new, so just OK for the price nothing special...
If you have money get Miele (forget the overpriced Dyson).

@procop: Sure, but I wouldn't blame that on any specific country, since China is absolutely capable of manufacturing precision equipment (Macbook, many harddrives, and CPUs). Blame it on the mother company that does not do proper QC.

Oxygen3, eh.... Does it turn into the Statue of Liberty?

Also funny that my post time says "just now".

I have a cat that loves digging for treasure in her litter box. Would this vacuum be good at picking up kitty litter off a bare bathroom floor?

My parents have one of these - surprisingly quiet AND effective.

I'm in for one!

Does anyone know if this better than the Dyson for people with allergies? I'd rather not go through an exhaustive bout of the sniffles after vacuuming.

Anything with a filter is going to be better than the damn Dyson's and their yellow shiny gimmicks. And this claims HEPA compliance.

I have an older version of this exact model and have been pretty happy with it. I also have a Dyson that I use at my office and I like the Electrolux better. It is very good with dust and allergies. The bags they use are excellent and with the HEPA filter it works great!!!
