Do they ship through Ghost Mail? Being a Ghost company and all... I though halloween was over :P

it is a waste of money to buy anything less than 120hz, especially when you can get a 120hz tv for close to this price.

also, this is tiger direct I believe, just under a different name

Does anyone know how these internet-enabled TV's handle playing movies over a LAN? It seems like they would need codecs built in and they may not always have the most current codecs.

I'm not sure 60Hz should be a turnoff unless you plan to use this as a computer monitor. There is no television or gaming content that currently provides data via a 120Hz signal, it's mostly a gimmick at this point.

Secondly whether or not you can play all the movies you wish over your LAN will depend partly on your media server, and not just on the TV. Many commercial (and some free) media servers provide transcoding ability that will convert the video to a format your TV will play.

@matthewdecker: I have 120 Hz TV and definitely notice a difference watching standard TV and playing video games, both with my computer and with my PS3. I highly suggest going for 120 Hz if at all possible, it's definitely noticeable in most things.

I got the LN40C630 TV at Fry's two weeks ago for $550. That is, it's this TV but 120Hz. Not sure if Fry's still has that deal going, but that would be the way to go.

I have an older LN46A650 and still love it. The 120Hz does not mean it takes higher frequency inputs, it only interpolates frames to fill in the extra refreshes between the ones sent from the source. What this means is that video appears to be smoother, especially older black/white shows. This model is the LED back-lit version (the C in the model#) and is in the 5 series where mine is standard back-lit, and a 6-series. The Amazon listing has a chart of other differences between the different models http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LN40C550-40-Inch-1080p-Black/dp/B0036WT3OI
