@eayres: What makes you think these are knockoffs?

vote-for4vote-against

@starblind: Boba Fett's head just looks wrong (I think it's a little too long, his visor.)

I assure you, these are NOT knockoffs. They were a special set sold ...almost exclusively...at a major retail store that has a bulls-eye associated with it...ahem, ahem...

These sets were Target exclusives where I live (Quad Cities; Davenport, Iowa).

Are they some sort of 'artistic edition'? As was mentioned, Boba's helmet looks wrong and he's got the gun is wrong. They don't have the clean lines of the usual SW toys.

I'm assuming this is the same pack. http://www.toywiz.com/kennerspecialanhvillain2.html

Ok, so I stand corrected.

@bb81398: I don't think these are knockoffs. These look like the 2012 Target exclusive Villains & Droids 3-packs. Star Wars figure knockoffs do exist, but they're unusually pretty easy to spot and I doubt they'd bother with anything as complex as a fabric Tusken Raider cape.

If you're going by screen accuracy, well, don't. There have been hundreds of SW figures released from 1977 to now, running the full gamut from "very very accurate" all the way to "who-the-hell-is-that-supposed-to-be?". Here's what this particular Fett is supposed to look like: http://www.jedi-business.com/figureDetails.aspx?id=1169

Anyway, I took a gamble and bought 3 of each. I've never heard of Hobo Ninja before, so hopefully things will go okay. I'll post again when they arrive I suppose.

@starblind: I stand corrected then. Usually the first thing I look for in knockoffs is small discrepancies.

@bb81398: As was already pointed out, that rule of thumb isn't going to work well for SW action figures. They have been and probably will be all over the place. Some of the Luke figures from the mid to late nineties were especially bad. They made him look like some sort of bodybuilder.

@starblind: HoboNinja is part of the same company as thatdailydeal, 13deals, locobuy, and others. I have bought a few things from this site and a LOT from their other sites with no problems. They have great customer services, too. You can call and get someone on the phone pretty quickly if you have a question, problem, or comment.

I want to say "These aren't the droids you're looking for," but they're quite a popular deal and apparently not knockoffs.

You guys aren't all too young to remember the classics, are you? These look pretty darn similar if you ask me, and that packaging brings back a ton of memories. =X
