Make all the arrow in the knee jokes you'd like. I bought one of these a few months ago and it broke on the third fire. Junk.

I used to say 'arrow to the knee', but then...

Wait.. this is like BudK witha different name. Same stock, same layout lol.

haha.. the "Guns & Gun Accessories" section has 0 guns.. and not all that many gun accessories.

@phizzo: So arrow to the face, not arrow to the knee, eh? That sounds like a more pressing concern.

I know it is $9.99, and always up here, but I can't get behind it. I have one like this, a bit more powerful, but I most certainly don't trust it. Have to show these things a good respect, it could break any minute. Don't use it near people. It would suck to pull the trigger and have the cord pop, resulting in a dart going flying at high speeds in a random direction.

Bought one of these while on vacation in Tennessee. It last all of two shots before the cord broke. After trying to fix the cord I found that the lath/prod/bow (whichever you want to call it) bent noticeably on one end. The other person who bought one said it lasted about a week before breaking. I will say the bolts seem decently built.

i have one and havent used it a ton - so MINE isnt broken at all
but know 3 other friends in my state that bought one, used it "a bunch" and broke anywhere from 3-9days after arriving

JUNK

pass on (profanity) like this

I have the BudK version. It hasn't broken after 5 shots or so, but I'm not impressed with its power. I bought another, better one, and left this one on the shelf.

I too have the budk version, not sure the difference if any. Good for the price, me and my daughter have fun firing it in the back yard. Looking to buy some zombie training targets. Thought this crossbow would not stop a zombie unless you hit it in the eye.

well over 100 shots on original string. tip of arrows fall off, buy extras or use without metal tips, your choice.

@reapersfist: This site and Budk are one in the same. If you have an account on Budk you can sign on to chkadels.com as well. So the bow is exactly the same.

I would rather save my money and get a real gun! I just bought a Glock 19 last week and I'm pumped about it

Getting the joke for once makes me happy.

I have one. I've shot it maybe 5 times. It's a toy, not for practical use. Couldn't kill a squirrel with this thing unless you beat it with it.

I bought two of these. The first one ALMOST broke when I forgot to reset the cocking arm. Other than that, its actually pretty good for just $10. Its a toy, yes... but its a VERY dangerous toy. Mine shot very high so I had to aim about 12 inches below the target at 25 feet. It will hit the target consistently and group about 6-12 inches.

I have the BudK one. First one broke, and they replaced it. No issue with the other one so far. It's kinda fun to take out and mess around with once in a while.

I actually got one to use as the basis for a steampunk vampire hunting rig. It makes a good prop.

Thanks for all of the warning tips; the next round is on me . . . as long as it doesn't exceed the $14.98 saved.

I paid more and bought my nephew the Cobra 80lb crossbow and that thing has some power behind it. I also got him wax for the string after the research I did showed without it the strings tend to break easily. My nephew's is still working just fine with original string.
