I went to see if I could add it on my existing account and of course TMoblie claims it is out of stock. tmobile stinks, they sold me a phone saying it was new. 1.5 years later I get on their website and it says it is refurbished. 3 weeks now no reply from the letter I had to write to their customer relations people (speaks volumes from a phone company), The store and phone line people just said it was new, they didn't sell refurbished phones. Really? that wasn't good enough for me. Someone needs to explain why theri own website say's it is refurbished. i contacted the better business bureau Monday and filed a complaint.

@moron2u: Are you really that dense that you can't understand that 1 model of phone can be sold as new, and then sold as refurbished later?

Fact of the matter is that you can have new AND refurbished phones of the SAME MODEL for sale at the same time. The difference? The refurb is generally WAY cheaper. The OTHER way to tell the difference is that if you buy a refurb from T-Mobile, there is a giant "REFURBISHED" sticker on the box.

@moron2u: Just because the website somehow said it's refurbished doesn't mean that yours is. If your phone is refurbished, the box that came with it has a giant Refurbished sticker on it. There are always identical model that could be refurbished and new, selling concurrently on the website. I think you have absolutely no case.

I have never had trouble with T-Mobile for 10 years now. I have never had a call not answered in less than 30 seconds by a human. They always honored their discounts, and they would extend new subscriber discounts to me as a long-term customer. Basically, I can almost ask for whatever I want, they would try very hard to keep me.

I think what he is saying is that when you log in into tmobile it shows the phones on your plan and it will say refurbished if it is ,I bought a phone on ebay as used when it was being used with my sim card after a few days it came up on my account as refurbished which means tmobile sent it out as replacement phone to someone that pays for the warranty.Tmoile refurbs in my opinion suck they never test them thoroughly they dont ask what is wrong with it when you send it back so they are never sure if it works 100% ,the last one I got that was a brand new refurb still with the plastic on it had a bad earpiece ,and in the past have had several replacements sent to me with the same problem I was sending them back for

Android™ 2.3.6 Gingerbread
Could use an upgrade?

@th3madhatter: Yes, using Samsung's Kies it will, to 4.0. Won't upgrade OTA. Small hassle.

You can get the S3 for under $50 at various places these days.. why stick yourself with this older model?
