Perfect for my time off next month.

My brother just bought it on steam. I've already played the games. VERY GOOD! And well worth the money!

In for both. I rented Bioshock before but never finished it. It was a great game, cant wait to play it again, and its sequel.

This may be kind of late for me to say, but if you don't have windows vista or XP Bioshock 1 won't work. I've had that game since it went on sale for 5 dollars a couple years ago and I went from a computer that couldn't run it to a laptop that runs Windows 7. :(
It's like buying a pair of shoes that don't fit.

I, for one, don't think this game ever lived up to its hype. Bought the original years ago, played it for a few hours and was completely bored. Nice world-crafting and graphics, but I found the weapon/magic switching was very clunky and the fighting incredibly generic.

@jtt02: Um, I've been playing Bioshock 1 on my W7 machine for a while, with no issues. I'm not really sure why you're unable to do so.

I also have to add that these are incredible games, at $5 a piece, it's pretty much a crime not to get them. ;P

@kirika: Since you don't have issues, you probably haven't been to the website/forum showing that hundreds and hundreds of posts have been made about the inability to play it. Let me say that the technical advice to fix it sucked. I tried all their fixes - nothing worked. Thank god I only paid 3.99 for it.

@ecriscit: I was able to play the game from beginning to end on my work laptop running windows 7, 4G mem, 5400rpm hard drive, and an NVidia Quadro NVS 160M card. The issues I had were running DirectX and overheating of my machine. I kept it elevated to expose all of the vents and when the game slowed down, I paused it, walked away for 10 - 15 minutes, and came back after it cooled down. I think Windows 7 and a desktop or highend laptop will be just fine. Just make sure you meet the requirements for directx and most importantly, pixel shader 3.0. That was the hang up for me why I had to use a laptop instead of a desktop was the pixel shader.

When you buy it through Steam, it's a direct download, so you'll have no problem playing these games if you have windows 7 (like I do). I even have the original Half Life from YEARS ago playing through Steam no problem.

@gotweed04: I agree after hearing all the hype from 360 owners about it, I played it it and meh it was ok.

@ecriscit: @ecriscit: I didn't say that no one has had any problems, I was merely pointing out that he was wrong in saying that "if you don't have windows vista or XP Bioshock 1 won't work." <3
