Just be prepared for tons of "Web only" messages if you try to watch videos on anything but your computer.

@brashattack: Depending what you want to watch. Generally, if a show is a full seres show, it'll be available anywhere. But if it's just a "past 5 episodes" kinda thing, it'll likely be a web only show. I've never been too bothered by it.

Either way, you get tons of content for $8 a month if you can deal with some commercials. I personally enjoy it.

@walkingsnake: Do you know how it is for the Criterion collection films, wethre they are web only or not? That would be a huge incentive for me, but holding out a bit longer for my free week until I have more free time.

@funkadelic78: The entire criterion collection is available on ALL devices... Roku, Wii, Xbox, PS3, iPhone, iPad, Android... it's phenomenal

@funkadelic78: Agree. This is such a slap in the face. It's finals time for most college students...this is borderline sadistic by hulu.

Thanks for posting, though, OP.

I've had a Hulu plus subscription. Though it does have new episodes online very quickly, I personally don't care about that. I've found Netflix to be a better deal. TONS of my favorite shows, all without a single commercial. Yes, I despise commercials. To each their own though.

@firebirdude: While I also have netflix and hate commercials I disagree with you. Netflix is great for movies and some older TV series but sucks when it comes to anything recent. Just as an example I watch Family Guy. It is currently around episode 18 of season 10. Netflix only streams up to season 8.

I guess this would be cool if it was like a month or 3 months. But 2 weeks? Who cares?

Hulu Plus is awful. It's Netflix with commercials and less content, and it's laggy on consoles.

@firebirdude: Yes. I just now started using Hulu for some shows. The free Hulu. I looked into adding it as a monthly... and discovered I will STILL have to watch commercials even if I pay for it??? I think NOT! I will stick with Netflix and not have to watch one single commercial. EVER.

I used Hulu Plus for 29 days of a 30 day free trial. I tried to watch three different shows on three different days. Each hiccuped and shat within the first 10 minutes. Make mine Netflix.

My Linear Algebra exam on Monday is not going to like this.

@firebirdude: I am 100% in agreement

WARNING TO PEOPLE THAT WANT TO BUY HULU PLUS!!

You actually won't get most episodes earlier than free hulu users! I was stupidly subscribed to hulu plus and have not seen ANY utilization of the benefits, the 7 or so shows I watch, episodes are first released for DISH-NETWORK SUBSCRIBERS ONLY!!!! That means even though you're subscribed to hulu, seeing an episode first depends on whether or not you're a dish subscriber, and I'm not kidding, this is real. A few days later they'll make it available for hulu plus subscribers.

You're better off signing up for a newsgroup like astraweb for the same price and then downloading the episode, I've found this to be faster than even the dish-network subscribers getting access to episodes

@marcus6571 - If you work for an educational institution, it doesn't matter how old you are. I'm 50 and I just signed up. :)
