I got one of these when it was on deals woot.
BT doesn't seem to work for music playback. The aux in is 2.5mm, and the cord from 2.5-3.5mm is way too short to actually be useful. Also, my usb did not charge my device when plugged in.

Are you calling the Starship Enterprise bluetooth incompatible?

I got something like this off amazon once. I was using it in my car when I hit the button to automatically roll up my window. A surge of power in the car's electrical system (which is apparently normal when rolling up all 4 windows at once) fried this device. I would be careful even spending 5 bucks on this unless it has a fuse in it!

If anyone buys this and uses the FM broadcast, just be sure you aren't broadcasting over a local station. There are two cars I regularly hit on my commute that are set to 88.5 in DC and I'd really rather listen to NPR than Roar on repeat.

@ryjaek: This item will work through Bluetooth. You probably purchase the older version. Please read description Thank you

BT or not this thing sucks.

I bought two of these from WirelessOEMShop. One is still unopened. As stated above, it wouldn't play music through Bluetooth, only the phone worked. Using the audio cable the sound quality was horrible. The text in the display was crooked and used a strange font that just looked weird. Finally, the hinged head was very loose and flopped down. It was possibly the worst product I ever bought.

Same here... no music over bluetooth for this model. Even e-mailed company and they confirmed that you must use plug for music playback. Useless.

Would also like to confirm this will NOT play music from phone over bluetooth. Every other function works, but I tried a Motorola Atrix, A Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S4, and 2 different I-Phones (3gs and 4s) and none would work. Contacted WirelessOEMShop and was told to contact manufacturer of the device. Purchase and shipping from WirelessOEMShop was fine, though. The device is worth the low price for hands free phone calls or playback over cable (minus the previously mentioned caveats), but ignore the bluetooth music claim. And yes, I have the version listed.

@wirelessoemshop: Nope. I have this one. It claimed to have BT playback support when I purchased it, but does not.

@zaazz: Mine would turn all the fans on and I would need to shut the car off to get them to turn off.

Glad it isn't just me that has trouble with this. The Bluetooth does not work. The cable is extremely short, rendering it worthless. The jack on the device is so small that one cannot get a suitable cable from common retailers. On the plus side, the FM transmitter seems to work fairly well. It works better than a $40 FM transmitter that I have.

I've bought one of these before on amazon. DO NOT BUY
