The comments are amusing. But diamond or not... I don't see how .00075 karats + machining costs $1,400.

Aside from the fact one would buy this simply to show money is no object, can anyone tell me how much difference in picture quality there is between this diamond balderdash and the HDMI cable that came in my bag of crap last September?

I'll bet the diamond helps to refocus the data stream for more efficient transmission, leading to less noise in the signal and a significantly improved picture. Also, 3D signals are denser, so they must travel faster to prevent lag.

@andyhothan: You will not see any picture quality difference. The video is sent digital so either you will see video or you will not see video.

Markup for these cables must be insane.

Not-so-bold prediction: 100% of these purchased will end up in a pimped-out Escalade.

@cengland0: Sorry, I did not add the sarcasm tag. Everyone should know this, yet Best Buy sells $100 Monster cables to naive customers everyday.

Ha! I just noticed two people tagged it, "dvd rewinder"

Also, here's another version of this that's 12m and $2199.75

Once again, I only use HDMI cables made of stem cells, diamonds are so 20th century...
