If you have never witnessed the Thin Man phenomena, then you have never experienced the perfect marriage of romantic comedy and murder mystery. Dashing detective Nick Charles (William Powell) is married to the ever charming socialite heiress Nora Charles (Myrna Loy), and while he has theoretically given up detective work to watch over her "assets," he always lets her drag him into a new case that spices up their marriage. The one-liners and witticisms are always fast and flying. Just because these movies were filmed in black and white in the 1930s doesn't mean the double-entendres aren't bountiful in this brilliant battle of the sexes in which an occasional murder gets solved.
