last 2 COD games ended up being on sale for $40 at target the week before thanksgiving, think I'll wait.

I request for a moderator to add an "MSRP" tag! Who's with me? :]

@sykotek: Chances are that by 11/8 it will sell for MSRP with significant pre order deals. The last two COD games had a $20 credit for a future purchase. As far as I'm concerned pre-order promotions and exclusives make it a "deal" with greater value than MSRP.

@mbmanaus: I'd likely agree with you if that link was to Amazon as they're not likely to simply sell it at MSRP as they'll be competing with K-Mart or Best Buy or some other big box retailer's promotions, but its a link to GameStop and it'll likely MSRP upon release there.

...even still though, even if you've put up an MSRP Amazon link,
MSRP =/= deal.

So woot is no longer for deals, just advertisements for unreleased products at full price? weak

@ndcouch: I think pretty much everybody (minus 3 wooters, apparently) knows that in the next 6ish months before this game is released, the price will drop a few bucks, retailers will offer pre-order bonuses, $20 gift cards and special editions.

So unless a large number of people decide that a free poster is worth $20+ and a gaggle of free stuff, this deal will just be a woot in the wind.

Just used the promo code on newegg, worked! Saved $12 dollars on this game, it came to $48. I never have time to do the deals before it comes out so this works for me.
