You can't go wrong since it ends up being free, but you can get better litter for far less at BJ's clubs. Berkeley & Jensen 40lbs boxes range from $6 to $9 per box. Doesn't track, controls odor better than everything else (even "World's Best Cat Litter",) clumps well and you can't beat the price..

I use it. Thanks. I think it is great - best I have found, and yes, costly, and that's why this is such a great deal. Thanks for posting it.

I used the corn based variety of this when I had some new kittens recently since they are not supposed to have clay litter at first. I was surprised and mildly amused that when they pooped in it, the litter smelled like a cow pasture. EDIT: I guess they're all corn based, I bought the green one.

Where do they sell this (which stores)? I've never seen it at the stores where I live.

petco.....

I have not tried it yet, but I have been using the WallyWorld brand scoopable....28 pounds for like $7.00.....works better than any litter that I have ever used (I have had cats for 30 years)

Like every other ripoff high-end pet product. Get the cheap stuff from Wal Mart and spend the savings on yourself.

This is such a great deal for the world's best cat litter. I'm in for one and I don't even have a cat anymore. Thanks!

vote-for7vote-against

Everyone should get one since it's free even if you don't have cats and then donate it to your local shelter

This Stinx!...Sorry, it's early still (L)

Thanks for this, will use it. Ballpark, what does this retail for? We use TidyCat, but the price is absurd. I stock up until it gets to buy one get one free.

And I know TidyCat has changed their mix lately, so it does not last as long without needing to be changed.

And that way they increase sales.

@jrhusc: I think 7lb should be around $11.99.

I usually get this at Target, it's around $8 for a "normal" size bag, although my wife got the large bag, dunno how much that was.

@mschauber: I don't know if I've just had bad luck lately with the Berkeley & Jensen litter from BJ's or if they've changed their recipe. The last few boxes I've purchased have literally covered everything in my house with a fine coating of white dust. Just dumping some into the litter box raises a cloud so thick, I can just about see through it.

Anyone else have this issue lately?

@keith172: I'd be lying if I said I was happy to hear that, especially since I just bought 17 more boxes of it.

I was less happy with my prior purchase, which is when they changed the box so there was no plastic bag. That was more of a packaging defect than anything. Those boxes didn't hold up to stacking, which I must do since I buy so many at a time. At one point even, one partially collapsed causing a domino effect resulting in 6 boxes knocking my closet door open my waking up to find my cat, who had chronic renal failure, had urinated multiple times on the spilled litter. Now if I had wood or tiles floors, that wouldn't have been a big deal. But I have carpeting floors. A year later, I still can't get it all up. Ever try cleaning clumped, clumping litter, out of carpet? Everything you use is moist and ... well you get the picture.

I'll be opening my first box since they returned to the bag in the box packaging next month. I hope not to see what you have seen.

This is really good litter. clumps exceedingly well, and it never has to be replaced, just added to, so the price really becomes competitive with clay litter. I first used it when this promotion was run last year; Wal-mart's equivalent, which I believe is sold under an Arm & Hammer brand, works just as well for significantly less (for when this runs out).

BTW, you can get it at Petsmart, too.

Is this really worth the price? Right now I use Scoop away and it works well except it has a lot of dust and also they track it everywhere.

@nanaejt: My cat uses the Worlds Best as shown in this deal. I still have the multiple cat formula as the 2nd cat died recently.

@dirtybirdsoaps: With this rebate, the price is right for you to see if it's worth the price! :-)

Or, at least have a free bag of litter on hand in case you run out.

I love love love LOVE this cat litter. I have a friend who uses Scamp cat litter and I watch her cats sometimes when she is out of town - every time I do her cat's litter I thank the universe for World's Best brand.

No huge cloud of horrible dust to inhale, no gross cheap perfume smell, and I've never had a problem with smells even if I forget to scoop for a day or two.

Plus, clay litter is mined in a really environmentally unfriendly way, so I can feel better about supporting a brand that's more earth-friendly.
