Thanks sclark89! I had just begun looking for a grill and didn't consider the coool options this one comes with. The price matches my expertise in grilling too.

I have the non gas version of this with the fire box. Damned good BBQ. The cast iron grill is awesome!

i was shopping for a gas/charcoal combo last year and i remember coming across one (i think it was this one but i don't remember for sure) that i almost instantly decided against.

It had plastic handles on the grill lids with short bolts attaching them (i couldnt see how they would not melt after a few uses). The Grill lids were very thin metal with noticeable bare spots (no paint) near some hinges and joints. Looking at it in the store even briefly i was quickly convinced it wouldn't last more than a year or two.

my advice is to check these out in person in the stores before buying one. The combo grills are AWESOME, but there are a lot of cheap-o's out there and it is certainly a "you get what you pay for" area.

I bought one of these two years ago,I use it almost daily.add the side charcoal box and a cover and make sure you follow the directions for seasoning it.The handles will not melt off(at least they havent yet). Its nice to be able to smoke something while grilling on the gas side.excellent product!!

I've also had one for two years and use it all the time. Still going strong, absolute deal at $200.

Thank you thank you thank you! My siblings and I have been contemplating a grill as a gift to be used at my dad's 70th birthday. This is an awesome grill at a great price, and free delivery! This is awesome!

I love cast iron grills. They take a little bit of work at first to season the right way -- but they produce a far superior result than wire grills!

And then the ability to charcoal AND gas, plus the side burner for cooking up the sides?? This is perfect!

This isn't a deal it's their normal price...just as it was last year.

Out of stock??? Anyone else getting that message?

EDIT: Nevermind...I just went to the main Lowe's page and clicked on grills and this was featured in the ad. I clicked on it and now I can get it. Thanks!

I have this grill. Got it for the same price on their Black Friday weekend sale. Recommendations:

When you do in store pick up, some stores "forget" to tell you they do FREE assembly.

This grill was HELL to assemble because it takes two people minimum and extremely careful alignment. It took me a week with char griller customer service to go into Lowe's and finally ask their help on getting the screws in to hold the burner tubes. Their assembler showed me the trick he used and said if that didn't work to bring it in and they would finish assemble for free.

Oh, and be sure to season this grill according to directions. Makes a difference.

Great grill once it is assembled and seasoned.

Bought it, and had it shipped to my dad's. Assembled it this weekend. Oh my gawd it's a great grill! It turns out that the grates are porcelain coated, not raw cast-iron. Which is probably good because my dad probably wouldn't properly oil the grates like I would have (my personal preference is the plain cast-iron).

The owner's manual (laughably) estimates assembly time of 45 minutes. For the first-timer, it's more like 2 hours to 2.5 hours to complete the assembly, double check everything, and pressure test. Give yourself plenty of time! I unfortunately started a bit late in the afternoon and was finishing up after the sun had set.

This thing is massive and heavy. But oh so worth the $200.
