Not sure about these models; but I really like my Polks (Monitor 50-IIs and a center channel), so I'll vouch for the brand.

Can't say anything in particular about this model either, but Polks are great, and these are coming from a brand-authorized distributor.

11 good reviews on Amazon, no poor ones. I still balk at buying speakers without hearing them, though. The seller has a sub woofer you can add for an additional $129, if so inclined.

I have these with the polk subwoofer. Amazing sound from small speakers.

Have had RM75 (one step below these) for a year. Very good sound for a 12x18 media room. Needs a subwoofer, not much bass, but crystal clear.

FYI, the RM85's are going for 249-350 on ebay (new).
