@prettywootprincess: If you can get the free shipping to work, I promise I'll buy a set. Little Sis' needs new flatware and she's always been a fan of the Flight pattern we grew up with. This would make a great surprise gift, but the free shipping would make it easier on ME.

The old Flight sets used to be higher grade steel (18/10), but the newer stuff is only 18/0 and actually looks a little different from the older stuff (knives have thinner, flatter handles, spoons have slightly different-shaped heads, etc). I bought a newer set to augment my old, but the difference is pretty obvious. Still, for everyday flatware, it's not bad stuff even at 18/0. Not going to win any awards for strength, but it's decent looking and has held up over the years.

@eneref: Thanks for posting this. I thought my memory was faulty as I remembered the knives with a different look. In fact, the whole set looked a bit "off" from what I remembered growing up. I also missed the 18/0. Thanks @tronne for pointing this out.

I've got to second the 18/10 recommendation. I got an eight piece set seven years ago for about this price at an Oneida outlet store. None of the fork tines have bent, and I haven't been gentle with them.
