Just WB shows .. not the grandest selection but if you're a Smallville person it's a pretty good deal.

Why would anyone pay that much for free TV shows? Maybe Futurama but that's all.

@stevec5000: what do you mean by "free" tv shows? like downloading them via torrent or hotfile?

They're free to watch everyday for nothing if you just have a TV!

@stevec5000: And, free to watch again and again on any TV or PC in the house with a DirecTV PVR and DirecTV2PC software. Still, some of us like particular shows enough to want to own them (Futurama being one of them for me as well). Dont forget, nothing tells the networks how much the general public likes the show like the purchase of its DVD's. Fox brought back Family Guy primarily due to it's outstanding DVD sales.

A couple bucks more expensive on Amazon for the blu-ray seasons they have on WBs site, but you can get them all on Amazon for cheaper overall http://amzn.to/9e4mOQ

@stevec5000: Dear sir, there is no such thing as free TV. There is ad sponsored TV, cable tv, public tv, and pay per view. None of it is free to make or broadcast.
One might pay for a physical media copy of a certain series: if they do not receive that channel where they live; if they want to support the show and make sure more are made; if they want to view it in a car; if they want to view it commercial free; if they want to ensure they can view it after it is no longer in syndication; or if they want to be able to catch up with episodes that missed when they were originally broadcast.

A better question might be, "why would someone think there is such a thing as free tv?" Reasons could be, simple and excusable ignorance, stupidity, or malicious tolling.

Unfortunately the only ones I want, I have. I picked up Pushing Daisies S2 for $15 at Best Buy a few months ago, and Fringe S1 @ Walmart for $20. I do hope to start seeing these prices for Fringe S2 and V S1 :)
