I like 1SALEADAY - I've ordered from them via Buy.com and Newegg.com. I have no complaints.

A great buy but seriously...7-10 business days for it to ship. Thank god I will be able to make due without a roku player for a little while.

@extech01: I had to replace my original Roku, and found support was fairly easy to work with and the whole process wasn't much of an inconvenience. You might have just been the unlucky one with a bad experience.

Looks like you can buy this directly from Roku for $10 more.

Also saw as a Costco member you can get it for $90 with an included 6' HDMI cable (if you happen to not have one).

I would highly recommend not ordering from this company. I ordered 2 the last time they were on sale. 3 weeks later never received shipment. Company was unwilling to initiate lost package tracking. Wound up getting a refund but not until well over a month after I placed my order. Horrible customer service. Don't do it.

@extech01: Agreed. Had to spend time calling to get around the "mandatory" credit card entry.

i bought two refurbished from them and each one had to be replaced by roku- I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time, that was the remote (yeah you can use your phone, roku even asked me if i could do that), the other the player.

they did it but what a pain- hours and hours on the phone with them.

@darksoul13: Or you could just get a Roku...

@darksoul13: I don't consider Roku a waste. I think it serves a valuable purpose. I have a wife and kids in the house and several TVs I'm planning to put Rokus on. It's simple and easy. Hooking a "spare computer" or similar item up to each TV is more costly and less user friendly. Maybe if it was me by myself with one main TV I'd consider going that route, but I'm looking for simple in a house where I already have little time to tinker around with my tech stuff.

I bought my Roku 2 XS from 1saleaday and while it did take a while to ship, it came well packed and in working order as expected. I did get mine for $50 + shipping, though.

I definitely like having it - added Netflix to a dumb flat-panel that I got for a steal from Best Buy with no fuss.

Generally avoid 1sad. 3-4 weeks or more to get an item is not cool.

As for Roku, its a waste. Mostly mediocre and pay to watch/subscription (via cable/sat/fios) channels. Along with Most TV's have built in apps. Your better off getting an old pc/laptop/ Mac Mini (provided you have one with HDMI or at least VGA/RCA OUT) and load XBMC or ANDROID. Just want plug and play get a Android TV stick or connect your tablet old or new via MHL connector.

I have ordered through them several times. Always good. They did have these cheaper a couple of weeks ago. Guess I should have ordered then.

as @techknight said, these were selling for $49.99 with $4.99 shipping several months ago, as well as before that. Over time I have bought three of these from 1saleaday and have been very pleased. They are factory refurbished, but they have worked flawlessly for me. The oldest unit I have was bought in November, 2012. We have one in the bedroom, one in the living room, and one in the kids playroom. We grab one and take it with us when we go on a trip and just plug and play (after accessing WIFI, of course).

@cassiescorner: Yes, I've ordered from them a couple times before and have always had success. I've only ever ordered cables, though, so I don't know how rough their handling is. And yes, the Roku 2 XS supports vudu. I've had mine for about a month and love it!

Same site was selling these (Roku 2XS refurbished) for $49.99 with $4.99 for shipping in Jan. Have the prices gone up that much?

vote-for1vote-against

Has anyone ordered through these guys before? And is this one of the newer ones that can play VUDU?

Most of the $60 pricepoints had at least $5 shipping. This has "free" shipping so I count it a wash. In for one.

Decent deal, but it seems that the XS rokus were popping at 60 bucks refurbished for a while. (Five dollars isn't too huge of a deal though.)
