I had the beta for LEGO Universe and it was interesting, but not worth paying a monthly fee for.

Then again, the whole idea of buying a game then having to pay in order to play it is one I refuse to subscribe to.

Even if I did though, LEGO wouldn't be one I'd choose

Actually trying to decide if 10 bucks is worth it for the month fU:

Why not just buy Minecraft and have unlimited updates and the ability to create your own private server and world?

As it was explained to me by another friend who played, Lego World was good but definitely geared toward the younger crowd with the easy difficulty. So if you were thinking about this for a youngster, then two thumbs up. Anyone who has played the standard assortment of MMOs out there will possibly become bored.

I can only imagine the fun that could be had if there was a version for the rest of us old folks...

Seriously? This isn't meant to compete with WoW people. This is about creativity and imagination, not having all the stimulation fed to you on a plate, then trying to up it constantly because you are bored after beingin-world 8 hours a day every day for 2 years... I played Asheron's Call... 1 & 2... I played Wow... I even tried Conan (Zzzzzz)... all got boring after enough time. This is for younger people and adults that just like to design and create. I never got tired of playing with Legos. Still spend hours playing with them with my 7yr old son. We make amazing stuff together. You can build WHATEVER you want in Universe. No, it's not for all the MMO players looking for something new. IT's for artsy, design minded adults and kids. If you fit in these categories, try it!
