Four Jack-the-lads find themselves heavily - seriously heavily - in debt to an East End hard man and his enforcers after a crooked card game. Overhearing their neighbours in the next flat plotting to hold up a group of out-of-their-depth drug growers, our heros decide to stitch up the robbers in turn. In a way the confusion really starts when a pair of antique double-barrelled shotguns go missing in a completely different scam.

This movie is absolutely worth watching.
One of Guy Ritchie's early and best work.
i think much of Guy Ritchie's stuff has been hit or miss.
except for this. this is arguably one of my top 10 films of all time. i'm probably the most annoying person to watch this movie with and i know roughly 75% of the script by heart.
that being said, I thought Rock n Rolla was a return to form for him, but I think it did lousy in sales.
Love this movie.
Cannot say enough good things about this movie. Absolutely love it. Jason Statham was just a nobody when this came out.
Yep, I remember that was the first time I'd seen him in anything. Hot guy. :)
Great great movie. I wish Statham did more movies like this and Snatch and less movies like the Transporter. If you have seen RocknRolla or Snatch and liked them, you should go ahead and buy this. if you haven't seen those other movies, you seriously need to get with the program.
@ndcouch: Absolutely. Hope Statham doesn't get stereotyped in stuff like Transporter.
@clairela: Unfortunately, i think he already has. he's done at least 3 transporter movies, multiple "crank" movies, and lots of other action driven movies with bad acting and worse dialogue. I love him as Turkish, but he hasn't been taking too many of those types of roles in recent years
@ndcouch: I had forgotten about the Crank movies. Sheesh. Might be too late.
