There are alternative companies to use that do not support things like CISPA, SOPA, and PIPA. Godaddy is not on the right side of net neutrality and should be shunned for their stance.

NameCheap charges $3.99 a year for domain registration, and doesn't have sexist (or indeed any, AFAIK) TV spots or wrongheaded enthusiasm for Internet censorship.

Regardless of the politics of your brand choice, the price isn't just as low as this deal at NameCheap unless you want an uncommon TLD.
