50% off because it's 50% of a shoe.

What do you call someone who runs barefoot? Soleless.
What do you call someone who buys shoes online? Sole Surfer.
Why does James Brown love shoes? He's got sole and he's super bad.

From my experience its important to just wear them around the house the first few times, then no more then an hour or 2. Slowly increase the time you use them to give your body a chance to adapt to the new muscles being used. These will CURE feet pain IMHO:)

Bought a pair of these from this site yesterday when they started the sale. They had them shipped that same day. I'd definitely recommend buying these especially at this price.

If you've never bought FiveFingers before, check the video here to figure out your correct sizing -- http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/size_fit/

One other thing, LeftLane Sports offers an extra 10% off if you use their iPhone app or their Google Chrome extension -- http://www.leftlanesports.com/Mobile.aspx

vote-for14vote-against

If you've never tried them yer missing out. My feet and legs have never felt better. Plus, everyone I know with leg and foot issues who has worn them has seen drastic improvement in their problem areas.

vote-for5vote-against

Love Vibrams! Already have the 2 pairs shown for women. Great prices.

vote-for3vote-against

Barefoot Shoe seems like a contradiction doesn't it?

vote-for6vote-against

I'm obligated to post the "five finger discount" joke whenever one of these come up.

vote-for6vote-against

@gideonfrost: nope. it just allows you to walk/run how we're intended to walk, with some protection from elements

its a win win IMO

Peace and love

vote-for4vote-against

@fit410s: Do you work for Leftlane Sports? You've been spamming that same link on every post for FiveFingers. Yesterday you even posted it on a deal of mine from 6 months ago.

vote-for3vote-against

@fit410s: Agree w/your answer to @gideonfrost: Will add, it really does feel like you're walking barefoot. They fit like a second skin. Has improved my posture - and my attitude. ;-) Love, peace & happiness to you!

vote-for3vote-against

@rustybender: I can't answer for @fit410s, but I don't work for any company that sells Vibram's. I flat out love them! And before anyone talks about how ugly they are (if they haven't already), I agree. They are not the most attractive shoe made; they are the most comfortable. Peace.

vote-for6vote-against

@fit410s is 'woot' your account name on LeftLane Sports' website and you're getting credits for each referral? Or is it a legitimate woot sponsored link? I don't think its right if you are using the woot name and not disclosing you're using it to your advantage.

vote-for2vote-against

@rustybender: just wanted to let you all know about the sale that started a few days ago. these shoes have really helped the health of my feet and I've never seen them this cheap. sorry to be spammy , im just excited . i will go to sleep now :) lol

vote-for5vote-against

@jdpman: Hey everyone! The only account on Woot associated with LeftLane Sports is this account. We do offer the ability to invite friends with personal invite links. Those links offer a $10 store credit to new members on orders of $50 or more in merchandise. Just clearing that up! Looks like everyone is enjoying sale!

vote-for3vote-against

@leftlanesports: No, what I was asking is if @fit410s link to your website is their own referral link or if it is an official woot sanctioned link. If @fit410s is getting referral credits by using the username "woot" on your site and isn't disclosing that, I think that's a bit devious.

vote-for1vote-against

@jdpman: aloha. sorry to make you offended or mad. that link is mine. i used the woot because not only did i first find out about vibrams from woot .com but i also say woot woot all the time when im happy or I like something.

i have posted that link on my facebook and sent to friends also,so its not like its just for this site

peace

ps: looking at it from your point of view, I can now see how its spammy. I share woot.com to all my friends so it was just a split decision to use woot since I found out about leftlanesports from woot. I promise to spend the whole 20 bucks back again at leftlanesports I might make . btw i love the deals at leftlanesports .they rock!

vote-for5vote-against

Kinda considering these.. my current shoes are ready for the trash and iv been wearing flipflops everywhere >.>

vote-for3vote-against

@darkinc: just google, flip flops bad for the feet .

get these, and dont look back. go to rei and get sized or make sure to measure your feet right.

go for it

vote-for3vote-against

@fit410s: Don't bother with those guys for sizing ;) We've got a sizing video on each product page, plus all of the sizing charts you'll need to make sure your foot matches up to the correct size!

vote-for3vote-against

@leftlanesports: yeah I hear ya, but sometimes its nice to get sized with a pair of toe socks on so the fit is just right.

I know some people need the toe socks, and some dont like them.

but dont worry, once they see the 80-100 buck price at rei, you wont lose a sale to them

vote-for3vote-against

I'm really sad I couldn't a pair of these :( by the time I got on they were all sold out in my size. Sometimes I hate having small feet...

vote-for3vote-against

What are the best socks to wear with these shoes? Mine are so snug, I'm thinking there's not enough room in there for socks!

vote-for4vote-against

@brandygabel: yeah if the size is perfect then there is no room for toe socks. they are not needed, but some people need to wear the socks to avoid chafing , or to reduce smell

I bought these from reading the reviews, but there are many others
http://www.amazon.com/Riverstone-Goods-Womens-Socks-Two-Pack/dp/B003D0M2LY/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1324193508&sr=8-7

if its just a blister on one spot you can take an old sock and cut a piece out and put it in the vibram

vote-for4vote-against

these are never in stock for my size. i'd order a pair too!

vote-for3vote-against

@jockovonred: and other people with small feet. That "other store" that was mentioned and that I happen to love has some really small ones on sale for $55.93. Not as good as LeftLane, but still better than retail.

vote-for7vote-against

I've wanted a pair of these for well over a year and this price was just too good to pass up. Merry Christmas to me!

vote-for5vote-against

I've been running in Vibrams for a year and a half. I put about 700 miles on my first pair before I wore holes in the soles. They lasted just under a year. I'm now on my second pair (both are VFF Sprints).

I do believe they do what they claim to do. They allow the foot to move as close as possible to the way were evolved to move, while providing some limited protection from sharp objects, etc.

You're less prone to injury and chronic impact related conditions with barefoot or minimal shoe running. That said, a research suggests you're at higher risk of Achilles tendonitis when transitioning. I've developed a case myself, but believe it's worth the tradeoff of diminished risk for several other conditions.

http://barefootrunning.fas.harvard.edu/5BarefootRunning&TrainingTips.html

As an aside: During the summer I'm also an avid kayaker. Vibrams make getting out of the boat onto smooth, wet rocks a lot easier / safer. Way better than barefoot, and they deal with water well. I love mine.

vote-for3vote-against

I wear size 11's and the smallest size available is basically 12 and up. Umm...

vote-for4vote-against

They have size 11 in KSO and Trek, just picked up a pair myself.

vote-for3vote-against

Well, that was a waste of time...sold out of smaller sizes.

vote-for3vote-against

@joesteel88: I found them in the Trek sport (I have 10 1/4 inch feet swhich equates to size 40.

Bought a pair!

vote-for4vote-against

i wear size 12, all sold out for me q.q

vote-for2vote-against

I bought two pairs, one for me and one for my husband. This was an awesome deal! Got the 50% off plus another $10 for signing up.

vote-for2vote-against

Hubby's been wanting to try a pair of these for years, so I'm in. Plenty of choice in the 10 1/2" range. Got the KSO's so he can bike in them if he wants. How long does the $10 credit stay in your account?

vote-for2vote-against

I have been wanting these for years now at a price I can afford.

NOTE: To the guy who posted the link to get 10 credits in his account. _

vote-for3vote-against

would love to try these out, but my feet are literally 2 different sizes. There is an inch difference in between them, which translates to 2 different sizes. so if i went w/ the longer foot, it would be to big on the other foot.

vote-for3vote-against

I'm no jogger but i gotta try a pair of these this price

vote-for4vote-against

I used the Left Lane Sports extension in Chrome and got an extra 10% off.

vote-for3vote-against

@dtiger1138: aloha. sounds like with any shoe you buy you need to buy 2 sizes? or for traditional shoes you have an insert?

vote-for3vote-against

@styloroc: I think they look cool. Makes you look like a warrior. Also since they are sooooo healthy for the body, who really cares what they look like if they solve medical problems.

vote-for4vote-against

@hunterthebaylordog: You don't have small feet...you have average feet. :) Hence the reason that size range sells out quickly.

I have the same issue. However, I suspect these shoes will require a very precise fit so I'm a little reluctant to buy online without being able to try them on first.

vote-for3vote-against

@tweezak: Looks like their sale is on through next friday, so you've got some time to try them on somewhere. Their return policy is 30 days, you pay to ship back, but free ship for exchange pair back to you.

I think if your toes aren't odd lengths (i.e. 2nd toe close in size to big, and the rest trail off) the fitting guide is pretty dead on (was for me). From what I've read, if you seem in between sizes go for the one smaller.

Other general tips for these: Keep toenails trimmed well, and resolve to get sore calves and blisters if you don't do some proper breaking in (wearing/running in small intervals for a few weeks).

vote-for3vote-against

This is a hella deal. I have a pair of KSO's that I paid top dollar for, and are well worth the money. In for two.

vote-for3vote-against

@fit410s my feet are also wide, so I just go for the longer foot. It's an inch longer. Going to an REI to see what they say about the sizing.

vote-for3vote-against

Good deals on this site. I ended up getting a pair of Trek sports, 3 pairs of shorts and two beanies. All for about the price of one pair of the shoes plus shipping at regular price. Nice.

I used fit410s link, slick as she is posting it around, and got 10 bucks off as well as downloaded Chrome and used their extension to get an additional 10% off.

I have a long second toe and it's not very straight...I hope that measuring to that bent toe gives me success with the sizing.

vote-for3vote-against

Hmm..Woot moderator's editing links that allow Wooter's a better deal? Seems anti deal site.

vote-for4vote-against

@chezteladog: Affiliate referral links are not allowed.

vote-for3vote-against

Ok so I placed an order, pressed submit after entering all my payment information and it sent me back to the main page. No confirmation or anything. Did my order go through? Did it not? I don't want my size to sell out but I don't want two pairs!

Update: I entered another order and received the confirmation page so I'm good. Be aware if this happens to you.
