I love Quiznos, but in my area there were at a time 3 locations within 30 miles of my house and THEY ALL WENT UNDER. Not from lack of business but poor management. Employees complained that their managers were too lazy to order supplies and they usually only had 1/3 of the menu items available. What a shame, good food and poor management lead to FOR LEASE sign in the window. One of the locations still has the sign although it's been gone for over a year. Painful reminder...

I hope some of you enjoy this deal.

Last time I used this coupon, they gave me grief about having it on my phone and not a printed one. I used to work for them, and they still live in the stone ages. That's their real problem!

Thanks. I will use it today.

Not good on create-your-own and they got rid of all other vegetarian subs. Lame.

@wvutkep1002: I can proudlyly say that I was responsible for the Quiznos I worked at shutting down. The owners/managers basically only hired high-schoolers. Needless to say, there was plenty of product loss and lost productivity. However, the real problems began when I started working basically full-time. I was one of only 3 adults that worked there, and one week I worked like 44 hours. On my next paycheck, I noticed there was no overtime. They told me there was no money to be paying overtime (despite it being the law). I quit on the spot and within 2 weeks, they were closed. Probably couldn't find anyone who was both responsible and willing to work at a Quiznos full-time.

Too bad, I love the sandwiches.

Quiznos seems to suffer from terrible management. I love the sandwiches but I've only been in one or two that seemed to be run properly. And I've been to Quiznos in many, many states. It's really too bad because the food is actually really tasty. When you can find them open anyway.

Also, how can they afford to be constantly giving food away like this? There seems to be a new coupon daily.

@zuiquan: They probably can't afford it but I guess it'll boost sales, only temporarily if only 1/2 the menu is available. I enjoyed Quiznos when I lived near one but don't think there's any nearby to use this on, too bad.

Sorry Quiznos, but last time I got a groupon, a coupon, and deal, the local Quiznos in San Tan Mall (Gilbert, AZ) said they don't honor jack! Then the manager ranted against his own franchise and said he was better off on his own. Well then, I'll do you a favor and never go back. :-)

@pbsoko: I've run into that problem with different franchises not honoring coupons. I find it lame. But maybe the company is screwing over their franchisees with all of these coupons and they get fed up with it. No pun intended.

I suspect Quiznos's problems begin with its corporate management. I've talked to some franchisees, read about their business practices, and had some direct experience with its poor IT support system (for Quiznos Club). I'd suggest that many franchises are run by folks who are willing to put up with head-office incompetence. The few gems of well-run Quiznos shops I've frequented just have owners with the intestinal fortitude (no pun intended) to succeed despite self-destructive corporate practices.
