Just ordered 5, 3lbs of candy for $2????
Thank you! Ordered three. Even if tastes terrible the kids will have a blast making them.
why are these so cheap w/ free shipping, are they expired?
i think i'm in for 2 anyways :D
they'll be broken when you get them
@juanclopez2786: They'll be broken when the kids eat them, if they even put ONE together.
In for one. I won't eat it, but perfect for some fun with the girlfriend on a rainy (snowy) day.
I got 5 lol... there is also another one on the site but it is an ornament one for the same price with free shipping, but its just 6-8 ornament style cookies with eatable ink...
in for 6. They make great target practice.
Good deal, but not sure I'd call it chocolate.
"...three pounds of candy including 32 oz. milk chocolate flavored candy wafer"
Sweet
The candy and the romantic potential is the only good thing about this house.
It's a pain in the ass should you or your kids choose to try to make it. Good luck melting that chocolate and setting up your chocolate house.
Good deal if you just want somewhat crappy candy that might be expired on the cheap, bad deal if you want it for anything more.
Tax in TN...I sent to family, nieces and nephews...we did this last year with gingerbread kits. We made Valentine's Day houses...
Free shipping??? In for 5 - "candy wafers" can be used for cake pops. Can't wait!
@juanclopez2786: You have to make them, so they can't be broken when they arrive. They come with little chocolate discs that you melt and pour into the moulds.
The reason they're cheap is because it's a CHRISTMAS house - like a Gingerbread house but chocolate. So they're on clearance since it's February and people don't tend to buy Christmas kits after Christmas.
the one linked in this thread is sold out, there is another one for the same price(gingerbread house kit) i added four but it looks like they are charging shipping, how do you get free shipping?
The item in the OP's link is still available. I just bought 3 and a gingerbread thingy. A poster in another forum got his item that was ordered a week ago and the expiration date was April '11. Mine will all be gone by then. :-)
(Gingerbread exp. was some time in 2012.)
Yup, chocolate house is still available. I just ordered one.....
At the website it now says "Out of Stock"
@zwedishpzycho: Not sure where you see that. It appears to still be available when I check the website. I purchased earlier, so didn't go through the whole process again. Was it when you checked out that the "out of stock" info came up?
i'm ordering one right now...not out of stock for me.
Just ordered 5 and got my confirmation email. I'm planning on using the wafers for other goodies...at 1.99/3lbs it's way cheaper than 2.99/14oz at the store.
It's fun. The molds are really what's worth it. You melt the chocolate, pour it into the molds, wait half an hour and take the pieces out. Repeat. The white chocolate is a bit trickier to melt, and even trickier to work with on the roof/roofline. The candy included isn't very good.. spice drops, some kind of impossible to chew sweet tart knockoffs and peppermints. As for the chocolate.. it's the kind you'd get at a craft store. Good for making things like this, not so much for eating.
My fiancee and I used the molds with better quality chocolate after finding this out (she got it for $5 around xmas) and actual candy. It came out looking just as great, except this time we enjoyed eating it.
Mmmm... flavored wafers...
Thanks Ciabelle!!
Kids LOVE geting things addressd themselves in the mail so I just odered one for just about every kid I know and had it sent directly to each of them. Not often you can do that without it costing a fortune in shipping.
They'll all love it. Cool!
@eremita: Strange, when i checked a few hours ago, under "Qty" it said "out of stock", but now it has the option open again. Disregard my previous message.
I thought it was a cookie house, so i canceled my order, because its a chocolate house.

In for 3. These are great fun for the kids to put together and decorate. They also have the gingerbread houses for the same price and they even have a gingerbread mansion for $8!
Just grabbed two - one for the kids and one for my choc-a-holic department head. Awesome deal. Thanks for the tip!
Sorry.... This product is no longer available on bedbathandbeyond.com.
My 5 just arrived today. Super-fast shipping!
