Geez, I just got this like last month from Cowboom.com for $44.99 + $5.00 shipping and I thought that was a great deal. Well, this one is certainly the best deal I have ever seen for this product.

Mine was a 5 or 6 condition, but it looks great to me. No noticeable flaws, works perfectly a month later.

Could not edit title...apologies to all. @thunderthighs could you edit the title to read "Kindle Touch eReader 3G (D01200)"?

Maybe a dumb question, but since it has 3G, can you still use Wi-Fi?

@zx2guy19: The thing will use whatever network to which it can connect. If you configure it to use your home wi-fi network then that's what it will use when you buy a new book. Don't plan to use a non-Fire Kindle as an internet tablet.

Forgive my ignorance, but do these use a proprietary cable (like the nook e-reader?) if they're selling one without cables, will I need to find one somewhere else, or is it mini-usb (or something similar)?

Be careful, these things are not refurbished but Pre-owned. It means that someone else used them and turned them in for a newer model. Make a mistake on this with a laptop once. Never again.

@joelp77440: They have a no hassle return policy. 30 days from when you receive it. Just click a button and the system generates postage. Paid by them. You do not need to contact them or get permission to return. How careful do you really need to be?

Great timing! Just last week I was mourning the loss of the previous Kindle I purchased from Cowboom. Curved slope on floor + my foot on a dark morning = only half a screen that works. My previous one worked great, my only complaint was that the battery life was a bit lacking. Since my old one had the USB cable, I don't mind that this one doesn't. Also, I got this one cheaper than the last one AND I got the touch screen versus the original version with the awkward click button at the bottom.

WOW! That's a great price. I just sold my old kindle keyboard (3G) for $100 on CL. In for one. Thanks!

@smirltastic: What Nook do you have that has a proprietary cable? My Nook gen1 takes a run of the mill micro-USB.

They are still available. Man, what a deal.

You know what I love about mine? I've gone through periods of just putting it away and not touching it for weeks or months. But, unlike pretty much every other electronic device I have, its still relevant. I know, its a book basically so how could it get outdated?

Also, at this price, considering the huge free library, an incredible deal.

Paid more from Cowboom for this. I love my Kindle. I never read anything before, now I read all the time with this thing. Good deal!

Amazing price. I'm tempted to get one as a spare in case one of ours breaks.

Incidentally, if you leave the wireless off except for when you know you need to download some new books, the battery will last weeks and weeks of reading. (And I read a lot, like 80 books last year!)

Thanks! In for one, snagged a grade 6. This will go to the wife and I get her Nook Simple Touch

Just ordered one of these too. Can't beat the price. I have two different Nooks, but I've been wanting to try out the Kindle when the price was right. Yay!

Just got one not noticing the grade while I was ordering. Ended up with a grade 5. Went back to try to get another and they said SOLD OUT. Deal is dead as of 7:52PM Eastern time.

@danield528: These FLASH sales never end right at the 1st Sold Out. People have added to cart and will not end up buying. They always continue to add some as the day goes on (I have seen too many cowboom flash sales...lol). Just keep looking and hitting F5.

@lenhofr1: it uses micro-usb, not mini. The cable it comes with isn't that durable anyway, but it's the same cable as any Android phone.

For those worried about the warranty, it's worth going over to SquareTrade, and spending a few more bucks. You should be able to put a 2 year warranty on these, I believe, for everything BUT accidental damage (i.e.-if you drop it).

I did this, a couple years ago, for a digital camcorder through a similar site (13deals), which was a refurb. Less than a month before I was going to go on vacation, I went to check out the camcorder, and it wouldn't stay turned on, even with a freshly charged battery. The refurb warranty was only 6 months (long gone), but I was still within my SquareTrade warranty. Since time was short, I got on the phone, and asked them if there was any way for them to do the warranty as quickly as possible? While I was on the phone, they authorized the warranty replacement, and told me that if I were willing to take it as an Amazon G/C, I'd get an additional 5% payment! They sent me a label to send in the camcorder, and I bought a new one off Amazon that day! Awesome!!
