It is on Netflix. The Mrs is actually watching S1E3 right now on Netflix. She fought, kicked and screamed watching anything to do with zombies but I think it is growing on her. I'm on the "let the zombie thing die" boat too, but damn it, this show is good. I think the story was written well before current zombie craze even took off.
