I use Invisible Glass but not with rain repellent, works great on all glass.
Nice find!

This must of been posted here before because when I tried to get it I got the following:

We're sorry, Chris

Only one sample allowed per household.

I love Rain-X...figure this must close to the same thing?

Anyways, ordered one. Thanks!

I didn't care for this product. It smeared on my windshield and I thought I would never get it off!

vote-for2vote-against

@mrsmoofy: I was able to order more than one, with a different name O.o

@varunmodi: Tried that but didn't work either, oh well.

vote-for1vote-against

Thanks, got myself one. We will see just how good it works.

Does anyone know if the rain repellant actually works?

This was posted here before. I got my samples pretty quickly too. Not even 3 weeks I think. 2 wipes per package and 2 packages were sent.

But unfortunately I haven't applied them yet, so I can't give you guys a review. :-(

I used my sample last week. Worked great but doesn't last quite as long as RainX.
You do have to make sure you wipe your window down with a dry cloth until you don't get any more streaks/fog/haze...kinda like removing the excess wax when you're waxing your car. But, that's similar to RainX.

vote-for1vote-against

i don't need this.

I use the RainX brand windshield wiper fluid.

it works great for keeping bugs/rain from sticking.

on second thought I think I will order this & apply it to my back/side windows

vote-for7vote-against

Can I use this on my glasses?

vote-for1vote-against

Will it work with my Metro farecard?

vote-for4vote-against

@houndlax: I have a pack of it and it says "for use on exterior vehicle glass only". It worked ok on my car windshield but not so good on the SUV. It wasn't quite wet enough so it made a big fat mess. With a little elbow grease and some glass cleaner, I finally got it off. It appears to be a popular product here on DW, hopefully because it's free. :-)

Thanks for the post...in for one.

If you were to wash your hair with one of these would you ever have to dry it again?

vote-for1vote-against

Well this is nice minus the part where you're blinded by the background while filling out the form...

vote-for7vote-against

Great that it is free, but I still would pass it up. I haven't had good results yet, and I figure if I am going to spend 15 minutes washing each window to get this stuff off, then I can spend 5 minutes carefully washing with Windex.

These pads (I actually bought the stuff) never seem to have enough liquid to get the job done fully, and they streak horribly for me. Of course YMMV, but if they are giving it away in such bulk for free then it seems they simply aren't selling anything, and are desperate. So, test this carefully on a window you don't mind if it is slightly weird, and drive for a few days to test it.

thought i would add that this is back up again. I just got mine

vote-for1vote-against

Just worked for me. Glad to try it out.

Tried these before, immediately went back to just using Rain-X on the outside, Fog-X on the inside with a soft cloth (which also works great on glasses... the fog-x that is). Works SO much better, and far easier to get rid of any streaks.
