this man is painfully talented. not only is he a comedic genius, if you haven't heard him play the banjo and sing bluegrass, you are doing yourself a grave disservice. don't know anything about this particular collection, but if its got Steve Martin, you will have no choice but to laugh so hard your face hurts. The Jerk and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels are two movies that make me laugh so hard it hurts, even to this day. he was great as Ruprecht (sp)

That was Edie McClurg working that pen at the rent-a-car desk.

I went to see The Lonely Guy in the theater as my girlfriend of three years, and her new boyfriend, moved her out of our house...The scene with the spotlight on him eating alone in a nice restaurant is truer than you'll ever know.

Why is there a cork on my fork? Ow..oh..

@ndcouch: Steve Martin was on ABC a few months ago talking about his new album. At the end of the interview when he talked about this song he wrote for Martin Short's wife who had passed away,he was very emotional.Great song and knowing the background adds to the joy of watching him play.Hope the link works

i've seen him in several interviews, and he is surprisingly genuine for a comedian. he's an all around likeable guy, which is rare, considering most comedians just get more and more bitter and cynical as they age.
