Like Sin City before it, 300 brings Frank Miller and Lynn Varley's graphic novel vividly to life. The epic graphic novel by Frank Miller (Sin City) assaults the screen with the blood, thunder and awe of its ferocious visual style faithfully recreated in an intense blend of live-action and CGI animation. Retelling the ancient Battle of Thermopylae, it depicts the titanic clash in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army.
Commentary by Director Zack Snyder, writer Kurt Johnstad, and director of photography Larry Fong

I got this for $10 at best buy last christmas. doesnt seem like a great deal.
LOVE THIS MOVIE, but...
I have this on Blu-ray, the quality seems comparable to DVD.
It was not as sharp as I expected...
@stabnwswd: They always have a crapload of deals like that at Christmas, I hardly think $1.33 more w/no tax or shipping is a horrible deal.
I'm anti Blu-ray. It will be a short-lived format and probably replaced with a non-mechanical solid state device and personal licensing (like the "digital copy" you are seeing now).
I'm also anti Blu-ray since knowing that Sony paid Toshiba off to end the HD-DVD format and I was one of the "suckers" that bought that format. Incidently, I stopped buying Toshiba products since they walked out of the deal losing nothing (the word is that Sony gave them a chip company in exchange for pulling the plug on HD-DVD).
