I love Lindt truffles, especially white chocolate. So long diet! Thanks for posting.

I signed up for the milk chocolate.

looks a little phishy to me...plus the products page yields a 404. here's some good info about signing up for potential phishing sites (sorry for posting slickdeals a lot, but there's some good info there sometimes!): http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=18237031&postcount=37

@ghoulguy That's why you give them an email that you don't check much (random Hotmail or Gmail account). If you're afraid they'll send you some junk snail mail, leave the chocolate for the rest of us. : )

@dangela424: that is fine, but some of us don't like our home addresses to be sold to spam mailing lists :o)

His bio is, um, vague? And nothing comes up on ANY of the other pages for me. Well, except for the fill-in-your-info page. Kinda hinky, guys.

@lavikinga: You know how it is. There's a zillion people willing to give up their privacy for a few chocolates. Now, if the site was from Lindt, then we'd be talking.

They're good chocolates, but if I can resist @catbertthegreat's Godiva deal, this one's a piece of cake.

Thanks for the chocolate!! And a HUGE thanks to whoever told us about 10minutemail.com - wonderful!!

Funny how all these posters expect something for NOTHING. Of course there's catch. It's a marketing thing.

vote-for6vote-against

the only web presence that "chef quentin" has is this website giving out free stuff.... this is not a business model, this is phishing. THIS LISTING SHOULD BE REMOVED.

vote-for3vote-against

No thanks. I can not trust anyone who says trust me I won't send you a bill.

vote-for2vote-against

well i signed up without reading thru the comments here, in hindsight probably should have let this one go. hopefully no (or not much) spam/scam.

Meh...I'm not worried about it. Everyone here who is listed in the phonebook has already put this information on the web anyway (besides email address, but that's what http://10minutemail.com is for). I've signed up for similar "shady crap" like this before. Sometimes it comes, sometimes it doesn't. In this case I'm pretty sure the "catch" is simply the last part at the bottom..."Informational pamphlet about franchising and investing". Sounds to me like they're making their money by luring people into reading their literature with a few pieces of chocolate.

Did a bit more digging and found another freebie site link that had this deal for 3 free Lindt chocolates, a DVD sampler of Chef Quentin's secret recipes, a coupon booklet AND an informational booklet about franchising and investing.

How do you decide.. hazelnut.. dark chocolate... milk chocolate.. GAH!!!

I opted for Hazelnut, but dark chocolate was a VERY close second

SO, I did this...without reading all of the comments..man I'm stupid..LOL. But RIGHT after doing this..I got the notice from McAfee that a trojan had been removed. SO DO NOT DO THIS!!!!

vote-for5vote-against

@srhoades6: And you got a trojan from filling out a questionnaire online.....?

vote-for0vote-against

Ahhh. Chocolate. Many thanks.

vote-for1vote-against

@madlaxkeeper1: Me too... I'll start reading first. =/
