Customer Service Update #2: I received another reply this afternoon from a different CS rep which acknowledged that there was nothing in the T&C that stated it was a targeted promo, and offered nothing more than an apology. Since it was a different rep than last time, I replied again asking for final clarification that I am not going to receive the bonus even though I qualified per their own T&C's.

Total crapola.

Customer Service Update #1: Received a reply after submitting an inquiry to CS via the link above. They acknowledged that I had added the auto-reload, however then went on to state that it was a "targeted promotion", and that only persons who received it in an email were eligible. I quickly replied and pointed out that no where in the T&C's does it state anything affirming that claim. Only that you had to be first time auto-reloader and use a Visa.

Will update when I hear back.

I'll fill out the form for both the $5 and $10 deals, haven't gotten either yet...I did both of them before the 24th. Went out of my way to use the first deal up to cause the auto-reload. I'll report back on them. Thanks for posting the link @mevirtually !

vote-for1vote-against

Still no bonus here either. :(

I registered as described, and spent $25 twice (the second reload being triggered accidentally after I bought a pound of coffee). Just filled out the CS form and will report back when I hear something.

I never got mine either. After the 10 business days I filled out a form on their customer service page (http://www.starbucks.com/customer-service/contact/starbucks-card-form) about it and got a response emailed to me a couple days later. The email said they were unable to provide an ideal response over the phone, and gave a reference number. So I called in and the rep checked to make sure the auto-reload was done by 8/24 and that the credit hadn't already been given and then applied it over the phone. Glad I got the $10, but after making sure I followed all the requirements, it's kind of annoying to not have it work automatically.

vote-for1vote-against

@jtaclas: Yup, I never got it. I had never signed up for reload either online or on my phone, so I'm pretty bummed out. I guess I will email customer service if I can find a way to do it!

vote-for1vote-against

I never got my credit either. However, I emailed customer service and they added the $10 the next day. So that's an option for those that didn't get the credit automatically.

vote-for-1vote-against

I haven't seen the credit yet either. :-(
I did mine via the iphone app and I see the $25 starbucks card, just no additional credit.
Maybe it means the first time it actually reloads it and not the first time it was loaded during set up?

vote-for1vote-against

Anybody get this credit yet? It says within 10 business days of the reload, so I'm wondering if anybody has seen it happen yet. It will have been 10 business days for me on Friday, but as I was looking into my difficulties setting up autoloading in the android app, I set up an autopay through my computer, so I may have disqualified myself as a "first time" autoload customer. Granted no auto load occurred until I set the proper load amount and threshold in android, but I'm going to wait and see here. I'm also hoping to see the $5 credit from the other offer this week. Treat reciepts end on monday.

@dawnbat: what phone? on my Android I had to update the app to get it to work. I set auto-reload for 25 at 5 or the lowest and it did it right away.

vote-for1vote-against

I've having a problem with the auto reload. When I get to the auto reload screen, the "continue" button pretty much disappears and I'm unable to submit my info and I can't scroll. Please help.

vote-for0vote-against

Didn't work right. Set up autoload in my wife's Starbucks card. It autoloaded and only gave us $5.

vote-for1vote-against

How do you set auto-reload with the current Android app? I haven't found a way to do it yet.

I am pretty sure I remember seeing it in the previous version.
---
bzzt, nevermind, just found a new update for it, and it lists '- multiple bug fixes'

I bet that fixes it!

And it does.

vote-for1vote-against

@dsorgnzd: signing up for a Starbucks card will get you a free drink on your birthday though ;)

vote-for2vote-against

@jtaclas: I just updated my Starbucks app :)

vote-for2vote-against

Update: My issues with setting up auto reload via the android app have been resolved with today's update to said app.

vote-for2vote-against

@nadine624: Yes you can use a Visa debit card...

vote-for2vote-against

Does anyone know if you can use a Visa Debit card for this? I try never to use any of my credit cards anymore as I'm doing an excellent job paying them all off.

vote-for1vote-against

@kneelbeforezod: I'm also curious about this. It shows an Iphone and only has the legal-ese for the Iphone Appstore at the bottom, so before I pull the trigger on this I'd like to know for sure this counts with the Android app version as well.

@dsorgnzd: I keep close tabs on my statements- I like to identify my transactions, and I would report things that look out of the ordinary. Your prudence is not unwarranted, in fact it's a rather smart approach, but in this day and age where your personal information is more available than not to the dedicated hacker, I don't usually have a problem with things like connecting a credit card to my own account. (Granted, I only use cards that have a low limit, and I do check these things almost always- at LEAST once a week if I forget every couple days.) I do like the ability to have them ask me to confirm before a reload, though, and I've never had one of these, so I don't know if that's a feature.

vote-for1vote-against

@wvutkep1002: I have a Visa card I keep around, but I usually prefer my Mastercard... guess that Visa card is gonna see some action now.

vote-for4vote-against

ahhh, now I see the fine print...

*To be eligible for the $10 offer, you must (i) be a new Auto-reload customer, (ii) sign up for Auto-reload using a valid Visa Card on your Starbucks mobile application by 11:59 p.m. PST on August 24, 2012 and (iii) complete at least one Auto-reload transaction for a minimum of $25 by 11:59 p.m. PST on September 24, 2012. Bonus load will be applied to the reloaded Starbucks Card within 10 business days of your first completed Auto-reload transaction. Only one $10 bonus load per Visa account allowed. Limited time offer.

vote-for0vote-against

@shadowknight125: Okay, first question, have 10 days passed since the auto load?

vote-for0vote-against

I signed up, it auto-loaded my card with $25 dollars after a few hours of having no balance; no extra $10.

vote-for1vote-against

I'm not a Starbucks fan, so maybe this is better than it looks. But I don't like the idea of giving anyone the ability to automatically charge my credit card for anything, certainly not for $10 (that's what, about 4 ounces of Starbucks product?). I'd be much more likely to just use the Visa card at Starbucks.

vote-for3vote-against

Per the Starbucks Website...

Limited time offer.

vote-for1vote-against

Is this only for iphone? Or does it work for android too. Android has SB app...

vote-for2vote-against

fmagic, maybe if you used another card?

When I scanned quickly across this in nthe list of deals, I thought it was saying $10 worth of Starbucks credit for $25, lol.

I'm not a coffee drinker at all, so I've never even been in a Starbucks.
I have become addicted to Burger King's Coke Icee though : )

vote-for4vote-against

Got it! Just a heads up that the bonus will not show on your card until sometime during the week of August 27th.

vote-for2vote-against

@fmagic: Can you disable the auto reload and then set up the auto reload for the bonus?

vote-for7vote-against

It appears, that it is possible, that this was the 300,000 deal posted in the deals woot community.

vote-for5vote-against

bummer. only valid for new auto-load setup only. i already have auto-load so apparently I am not eligible!

vote-for4vote-against

@jtaclas: I am having the same problem. Get all the way to the end, enter password final time and get error message that settings were not saved. Guess they don't want my money.

vote-for4vote-against

I think the difference is that you have to set up auto-reload for the $10 versus just reloading your card for $5? I assume the auto-reload means it will just charge your Visa when you reach a certain balance.

vote-for3vote-against

My android isn't letting me configure auto reload settings.

vote-for4vote-against

damn, two deals with visa zero deals with mastercard. no fun for me :(

vote-for3vote-against

@barts185: Well that deal was posted 17 hours ago..... So give this one some time.

vote-for3vote-against

@jimmyd103: Me too! I had to double check. This is even better! :)

vote-for8vote-against

How does this have so few upvotes compared to the 5 for 20, this is such a better deal.

vote-for4vote-against

@jimmyd103: yeah... i saw the $5 deal and decided to 1up it...

super mario style! :D

vote-for12vote-against

I almost tattled on this deal as I though it was a duplicate but now I see the other deal is a $5 credit for a $20 reload. Although this deal was mentioned in the comments
Better deal here in my opinion. Thanks for posting.
