Not really a deal. This is pretty standard pricing. In fact it is available for $5 less and with free shipping over at newegg.

The price is actually a good deal because the retail box gets an extra 2 years of warranty compared the $89 bare drive @ newegg. Retail box at newegg is $144.

The Caviar Green 2 TB, WD20EARS drive, is ($99.99 with $20 dollar rebate) = $79.99 everywhere else. From personal experience the WD drives are more quiet than Seagate's.

Ordered a desktop drive from Best Buy and got horrible service. Device was back ordered. Order management system down for a month so I couldn't cancel. Trip to store and calls to customer service did no good. it finally arrived and worked OK, but not worth the aggravation. Will never shop Best Buy again.

Best buy hires salesmen, not techs, avoid them. Just google geeksquad and you will see. As an IT pro I look at that place like working at the arches.

Unfortunately WDs are more inclined to fail...at the worst possible time. With this RPM speed it is a good secondary drive.
