Less than a buck? In for one!
Anyone know what a Direction Anxillary Wrench is supposed to be. I've seen these tools sold all over. They all have a Direction Anxillary, but no one knows what the heck it is for.
@publiclurker: You put it on a flat surface, fill the hole with water, and float a piece of wire or something that can hold a small charge. Apparently, this makes a makeshift compass, though i can't really say if it works or not.
I had something like this pre 9-11 and got stopped by security. If you forget to remove this from your wallet/purse and try to get through security you are going to get in a world of hurt. Just something to think about.
I'm in for one. At least it doesn't have moving parts like those cheap multi-tools that break within two weeks. I can't beat less than $1 with free shipping.
Neither code works, nor does free shipping
???
I bought a couple of these last year, neat tool
Great to toss in the glove compartment, too.
@rex b:
Try again. It took a couple of tries for me. Note: The second code will only work once the first 1000 are sold.
Oh, and you can only get the discount on one of them. I tried for more. Thought they'd make good stocking stuffers.
@rex b The code works look at the total it show up.
This was to good of a deal to pass up. This will come in handy fo sho.
MacGyver must have three of these, at least.
Showing up for $2.99 for me...
EDIT: Coupon for $1.95 worked for me.
I got 8 of these a few years ago and gave them to most of my family members. I have carried mine through several airports and flights without any problem. Mine has come in handy several times, once for measuring, once for cutting some loose threads. I like having it handy. If you get one, make a few extra copies of the diagram that comes with it. I lost that early on. These and a few other cool tools show up on a google reader feed called cooltools.
Just got one and used the $1.95 coupon code. The free shipping and the fact they accept Paypal sealed the deal for me.
I wouldn't recommend buying from this site...it's been THREE WEEKS since my order and still nothing. Took about 4 days just to ship and still nothing. Lost 10 bucks...
I bought a bunch of these last time they were on here and gave them to family... Everyone loves them and mine has come in handy a few times.
@clutchsins: I hope you contacted the company? I ordered two of these about a month ago. Got them quickly and with no problems from the company. I would order again from them.
Well I wasn't lucky enough to get them for $0.95, but I grabbed 3 at $1.95
It does say you will receive in 2 or 3 weeks... Ships from china
my last order from them took at least a couple weeks, but based on the teeny tiny price paid (and generally free shipping because i only buy their great deals), i can't complain about a long wait :)
@clutchsins: Your stuff will show up, eventually. They use some odd drop ship from China via Singapore, where they are put on a UPS truck that carries them across the Borneo straight to the Philippines, where they smart-post them to a blind drop in Tijuana. From there they are loaded onto container ships that then run up the Columbia River all the way to Lewiston, Idaho. The shipment is transferred to either Pony Express, or Lewis and Clark re-enactors. They carry it to the baggage area of Denver International Airport, where it really slows down. But, eventually a white bearded gentleman will toss your package, surreptitiously, into your mail carriers truck. And your mail carrier will crush it, drop it in a puddle then deliver it to your neighbor.
In other words, about the same routing as a Woot Bag-o-Crap.
@clutchsins this company is reliable enough. i've ordered stuff from them on several occasions. It just takes a while for them to ship because the stuff comes from Singapore and stuff. Be a little more patient.
.95 coupon is dead
hey guys, this product comes from China and is destroying our economy, cheap at 1.95... I said 1.95??? In for one...
@fishphotoguy: Figured as much, just a pain to know that it takes so long...after 3 full weeks I plan on contacting them. Did you ever receive a tracking number?
$0.95 coupon used up :-(
@wilfbrim: ??? I've never had airport security open my wallet, I just toss it in the loose change container and they've never given it a second look.
Where do I click to buy? I'm lost, tuesday mornings are terrible.
Since when does "lanyard hole" qualify as a tool?
Never get a bottle opener and a knife on the same tool. Let's just say, it was a bloody mess...
I missed the coupon code too - price is now $2.99, don't know about the shipping.
I bought something similar at a Brookstone outlet a few months ago. Not as many wrenches and not one piece (everything is in a case about the size of a credit card but slightly thicker), but it does contain a scissors, a pen (flimsy), and a tweezers. No phillips head, though.
Have fun.
Cheap cheap, who doesn't 11 tools in 1 even though you'd probably use only 2-3. Got them the last time they were here. If nothing else, it's a great conversation starter.
if you want more than one with the discount, click on the first card tool (2.99) and update the quantity in the shopping cart, the code works!
edit: the 1.95 coupon works.
@clutchsins: never got a tracking number. I ordered about 6 other items they came in 4 envelopes over about 10 days.
This is a great stocking stuffer and I can think of a million different instances where this would have come in handy. In for 10!
@fishphotoguy: Kinda funny, guess what just arrived today? So it took just over two full weeks so everyone knows worst case...looks like it was in customs for a few days...
Damn, I was about to post this deal.
Both are expired.
Guess the deal is over. Coupon expired - both of them.
Its $2.99 now
They take forever to ship (a lot of stuff actually ships direct from Hong Kong), but it does eventually show up, and they frequently have great deals.
