FYI this is not a charged backup battery. You need to activate it & wait for the charge to build up (it's a chemical process). Also, it is not rechargeable and the battery pack will need to be replaced when depleted. The flashlight does not have internal batteries and must be connected to the battery pack to operate.

Hey, but the price is dirt cheap and shipping is free so maybe it's a deal for someone. Personally I have invested in GoalZero solar/backup gear for long-term power needs.

I attended a demo of GoalZero and now have their portable solar charger/battery and carry it with me nearly every time I go camping/hiking, and keep it in my truck the rest of the time. It's nice to have instant power and a constant charge, versus having to wait for the charge to build and then discarding and replacing it every time. Might be good for an emergency backup kit for someone who can't afford the $100 solar kit yet, but I would suggest spending more to get a lot more use out of your power.
