A nice mini navigation tool. Sells for an average of about $145 elsewhere.
Some plusses:
-TINY
-Reasonably rugged
-Has WAAS
-Cheap
Some caveats:
-PC connectivity is via serial (meaning it's SLOW)
-Comes with no software of its own, so you'll need mapsource or some such to load waypoints
-Does not have the ability to load up maps to the device, so it's for basic waypoint navigation and tracking ONLY
-Battery life isn't amazing
-Can be slow on startup to sync to satellites.
An excellent little device to get into geocaching, though. Very basic, but just what is needed for tracking caches.
EasyGPS is a free waypoint/geocache manager. I've got an OLD magellan Explorist 210 and it's compatible, so I'd suggest giving it a try with one of these.
