If you are gaming on an older machine or are simply on a shoestring budget, this is an excellent card for $50. It won't do DirectX 11 games, but it will handle anything DirectX 10 can throw at it. I still run two 512 MB 9800GT's in SLI in my LAN rig, and they will still handle most modern games at high to medium settings with decent framerates (e.g. Starcraft 2 @ 55fps on high settings is not unusual in SLI w/9800GT's).

Bottom line: If you want similar performance in most games to a current-gen mid-range video card for half the price and don't care about DirectX 11 support, get two of these and SLI them.
