Hard to believe everyone isn't already good for the next 3 years :)

I haven't been scooping these up because I don't know if they're compatiable with the next gen Xbox, but I will cash in on this deal

@thefleshers: Per the first Xbox, switching to the Xbox 360 was seamless for your Xbox Live account. The way to look at it is there is one Xbox Live, no matter what system you connect to it; your membership and accrued renewals are valid for all of Xbox Live.

TigerDirect (via eBay) offered this for $29.99 w/ free shipping just earlier this week.

(I was dumb enough to only get one ... :( )

there has been a lot of good XBL deals lately. Hard to decide between the really cheap one year deals, the cheap year with MS Points,, or the cheap year with xbla games.

if i just redeemed a gold card a month ago, and redeem this one, will that give me two years or will one cancel the other out?

@lizbeth374: They stack. You'll be good for two years. :)

I'm waiting for the 12 month XBL Gold, chatpad and 400 ms points for $40 again... So mad I was too slow for it last time.

@jeremytheindian: Used the chatpad for maybe an hour. Couldn't stand it, made the controller really uncomfortable to use

@blackbradpitt: Yeah, but it makes it easier to send smack-talk text messages in the pre or post matchmaking lobby. When the game starts, just remove it from the controller. Voice messages are too personal. Send them a text and they don't know if you have an accent or if you're male/female or young/old. They don't know what insults to use on you!

It's also good for apps, redeeming codes, or any other such things that require lots of typing. I don't use it much, but it does make life a bit easier. I suppose I could use a USB keyboard instead, but the chat pad is more convenient.

@bsmith1: Good point. Never thought about that. i havent played any 360 game for a long time that still uses a lobby text chat. Except Madden. What other game does still?

I read the title as "live 12-month-old" . . . like there's a deal on toddlers . . . perhaps it's time to go to bed.
