Why in the hell are they giving you so many rechargeable batteries!?

vote-for4vote-against

Would have purchased if they were AA batteries.

vote-for1vote-against

Because they're AAA's Who the hell has that many remotes? No one.. hence they're trying to dump them before the chemicals inside die.

48 batteries and one charger that can accept two at a time? Sounds fun. I've stopped using anything but Eneloops for rechargeables, what good is it to have a drawer full of dead batteries?

vote-for1vote-against

I'm actually tempted, except for the ever present factor of broke-ness.

But this is a good deal...and if you can't use 'em all, give some to a friend :D

I actually have quite a few things that use AAA for some reason, but it's good to have a stock of 'em for things that you use a lot (headphones for one) 48 is definitely probably more than I'd ever need though...

"JustDeals Has Had Some Great Battery Deals In The Past....But this deal for a case of Kodak Rechargeable AAA batteries is the best battery deal we ever had. Bar none! Some say we are shooting our self in the foot selling these so cheap. But we found this deal, and wanted to get it online as quick as possible."

Not a great advertisement for the quality of your deals. Unless you're appealing to the bag of crap crowd, I suppose.

vote-for1vote-against

If they were AA, might be a deal. Needs more of a charger, but whatever...

I probably DO have enough remotes for this, but honestly, normal batteries last like forever in remotes, so pass...

The batteries in my armband for EA Sports Active 2 just died and I was lucky to find a couple of regular AAA batteries in a drawer. Not really something I usually have on hand.

However, unless I can think of another use for all these AAA batteries, I might just have to pass on this deal. $32.77 shipped isn't low enough for me to pull the trigger.

Lasers pointers (that Congress wants to ban. Two bills introduced recently.) use AAA batteries as do small LED flashlights and headlights. Also remote controls for the living room TV, the bedroom TV, the surround sound, DVD, CD and some toys.

Anyone notice JustDeals checkout pages are not secure? Has this always been the case or is it broken? I pulled from buying this. I have about 4 devices that need AAA. Buying a pack of 4 costs just as much as this deal so I'd buy this...if I wasn't worried about my personal and banking info getting jacked.

vote-for3vote-against

Nice catch Ben!...i was gonna go 4 it until I saw that. My card got hacked once B4 & I ain't taking the chance on potentially old batteries with no https, it ain't worth lt.

I could use this many AAA recargeables, but a review on Amazon is giving me pause -

"[The] Kodak Green rechargeables ... have been giving me a lot of trouble. So far I cannot run a simple wall clock (one AA) or an electronic lock (four AA), they both work fine with the Eneloops and standard alkaline. I tried refreshing the Kodaks on my La Crosse charger but that has not helped. So AVOID the Kodak Green rechargeables (this one). I have heard that the Kodak White ones are fine (relabeled GP Recykos)"

@benjamin247

Our checkout page is secure. Our https cert is up to date and visible.

@justdeals: because you have mixed content (some stuff from regular http, perhaps images and such) many browsers will flag it as insecure. I did not check to see what content was not protected, i'll leave that as an exercise for the reader. ;)

Add code "DEALNEWS1" at checkout (AFTER the "select payment method" window - entering on any prior prompt results in the code being rejected) to get FREE SHIPPING.

This caps the total price for 48 rechargeable AAA batteries at $27.77, which is a fantastic deal.

@djsteve1: Thanks man...glad I waited for somebody to post a CC.

You need to add it AFTER you've selected your shipping method...
Enter it in the same screen that you select your payment method...(after you select your payment, it's too late :D)

Thanks again, you just saved me $5 bucks.

@benjamin247: I'm sure you read what the GM posted...but, if you checked out via PayPal, wouldn't your info be secure? (minus public info, name address, etc)

That's an ACTUAL question lol...I just say that, because 90% of the time when somebody asks a question on a message board, it's condescending.

You are better off going for quality over quantity. Who is ever going to use 48 AAAs? Go for a slow discharge model that will still be ready after a year of sitting on a shelf. It is pain to have to charge something BEFORE you use it. My house hold runs off low-discharge and I will never go back.

This is has a little less mAh: (The kodak is 900 mAh) and is (16) 850 mAh AAA for $26.97 + S&H
http://www.thomasdistributing.com/16-Pack-Lenmar-R2GAAA16-12-Volt-850mAh-Pre-Charged-AAA-Batteries_p_2410.html

They also have low discharge battteries going up to 1000 mAh. (MAHA Imedion are my favs.) Yeah you only get 8 batteries for the same price but I don't need anymore than that.

Newegg also has some, but a smaller selection:

I have a few packs of Kodak batteries... and they're okay. Worth the price they're asking, if you need AAA. If it were a mixed bag I'd probably buy them.

I have three sets of AA (12 total), and I'm satisfied with them for what I paid. Four of them are the white label kind, and they seem to last longer, but I did buy them a year later than the others. The white label batteries are pre-charged, the green are not.

Wanted to purchase these batterys but I guess I am a day late even though it is still listed on woot. Everytime I click on "I want one", it takes me to a watch which I don't need.
