Genuine Sandisk, class 4 card at an excellent price. Nice find!

FYI -- Class 4, fine for MP3 player, not so hot for camcorder or high-end digital cam.

The $7.77 price is effectively $0.96/GB. OK, but not a great deal.

Too much for shipping!!!:(

@ea3344: Totally! I wanted to order a few to replace a missing sd card, one for a spare and 1 for a gift and suddenly the shipping jumped up to $15!!! I thought shipping was $5 per order, not $5 for each card!!

@tpscan: But you aren't subtracting 2-4$ for the usb adapter before figuring your per Gb price. Allowing for that seems like this is a decent deal and actually what I have been looking for to switch music from computer to phone and net book. Now to get off(or on) my ass and get the rest of my six hundred plus cd's burnt. (yes I am old bought my first cd (The Wall) in 1982)

$10 shipping for 2 of these is rediculous. They should at least throw in a brick so the shipping is worth the price.

... had me right up until "shipping". :(

--tpscan; 1982? I was in college and my prof was explaining to our design group the tech of the CD. How much did a home CD player cost then?

This is perfect for that prepaid phone my daughter has that comes with a 2Gb card. She can copy her hip music and listen all she wants before she looses the phone. Then the person who finds it can enjoy the 8Gb of hip music by Justin Bieber.

@populuxe: If my memory serves me right it was around 700 $. Ridiculous I know, but being single, and making easy money running supplies to the people following the Grateful Dead concert circuit each summer. Prime example of easy come easy go. Wouldn't want to still be caught up in that life but wouldn't give up any of my experience either. Life is best when being lived to the fullest. Peace.

If you would have waited until 1986, the price dropped to $500! My buddy had one--very cool then. I buy an occassional micro SD for my woot sansa Fuzes and clips. Amazing; my old collection of about 40 records/albums/cassettes back then would fit on one of these cards after being converted to mp3.

@populuxe: Life and technology continue to amaze and give me hope for the fate of humanity on what I now realize to be our small world. At the time it flipped my mind that two full length albums could be squeezed onto a little 4" disc and not have the hiss and scratch noises we all were used to trying to play them at full volume. Here today we have a little piece of plastic that holds 8gb, even when upgrading to a 486 dx computer in the early 90's there was no way to recognize or manage that much space even if we could figure out a way to connect the multiple harddrives to have it. At least on a noncommercial residential system before someone worries about correcting me. Be thankful gentlemen it is the ability for everyone to have inexpensive access to all of the world's knowledge that in my opinion will be the saving of humanity. Once again sorry to go off subject, Peace out.
