Incredible price for the stampede. I might have to pick that one up.

Very tempting... thinking about getting the 10 dollar quickshot, but that one-star review is a little off-putting =/

@tossthedice: Keep in mind that the rater used the word "blaster" when describing the gun...it's quite possible that this Star Wars fan was under some "delusions of grandeur" in his product expectations ;)

It's a shame this deal isn't on the vulcan. That one can fire the nerf velcro darts out of the box.

Just picked up the Stampede and (2) Speedload 6... for $50. Not bad at all!

Is there any other toy that's more fun as an adult than Nerf? (I think Legos were JUST as fun as a kid...)

@kidincredible: I agree! For one, they are fun way to mess with the feline friends of our significant others :3

I've been eyeing the Praxis (the one in the picture) as a gift, but Amazon's price on it isn't any better than big-box stores. And Amazon sellers' prices on Vortex ammo are ridiculous. $11.50 for a 10-pack that will run you $5 at Target, and $12 for the clip that you can get for $8 at Walmart.

Nerf and lego make toys that are fun for all ages. This is a great deal!

Figures. At least the guns I bought last week are only $1 off what I paid.
I did come across a great website for Nerf reviews http://nerf.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page.
Vortex is this season's new series but it uses green disks instead of the darts. The Stampede was the top toy last year so a pretty good bet for buying for kids.

@dmaz: Actually, 'Blaster' is the term Nerf itself uses for their toys, presumably to avoid calling them 'guns'.

You know... I was this close to buying a Stampede the other night.. glad to see I did not wait in vain... Mmm.. Lotsa darts.

Definitely a bit disappointed to see the new Nitron isn't up there, but I'll be more than happy to pick up a Praxis anyways, thanks for the post!

@tossthedice: While it might not be that bad, you should know that it will not fire without batteries. Unlike the Vulcan, which can be battery powered for automatic fire, or manually fired. I personally dislike the Stampede. Also, the guard shield on it is better suited for children.

picked up a Stampede. couldnt pass up a deal as good as this one. The 6 D batteries will have to be replaced with something a little smaller with slightly higher voltage
