These are also standard definition. HD is an extra buck.
@bharig: Sad that his needs to be stated, but yes, rentals.
Even at the usual $1.99 these movies are (at least that's what the Batman ones were two weeks ago), it's a great deal. Our DVD collection is a measly 3 or 4 dozen movies, but with a Roku box and other streaming devices hooked up to the TV, the BR/DVD player never gets touched. It's weird to think about buying physical disks now that we have instant streaming, since the disks never really are watched again because it's a pain to put them in the player, wait and navigate through the menu, the remove the disk afterwards.
so you're telling me that I'm saving a trip down to the wal-mart redbox and the hassle of playing a dvd? it's worth it to be able to not have to leave the couch.
There's a large amount of p0rn on the 99 cent aisle. This is odd.
Regardless of the price and the HD itself, i do think it's an amazing way to rent it from the website...Looking forward to watch "The Dark Knight"
most of them i would only want to spend a dollar on anyway. if i like it after that I'll buy it.
Perfect price for streaming. I realize most people DL movies for free or pay retarted amounts for discs, but streaming works perfect for me. Convenient and cheap and no need for more shelves and clutter.
Streaming is convenient, but don't fool yourself - a BluRay disk is MUCH higher quality images and sound than ANY streaming service. And yes, you actually do have to get off your fat butt and put the disk in the player, poor baby.
Trading quality for convenience is what life is all about now. Also explains the truly awful crud which passes for prepackaged food.
This deal as it is stated above is no longer valid. Don't waste your time going thru the list that comes up if you follow the "I want one" link. If you stream @ Amazon you know that they offer different movies almost every weekend for $.99-1.99 and the ones on the above list aren't available at that price anymore. :-)
