@scottyanimal: i've ordered from them literally dozens of times over the last 3 years and haven't had a single problem.

@scottyanimal: no problems here. Watch out for reseller ratings, myself along with several hundred other people had issues with a website called stootsi about 2 years ago. when stoosts started getting bad ratings there was period of about 2 days where stootsi received nothing but great reviews from people who just joined reseller ratings that day. I pointed this out to reseller ratings and received a canned response but these obviously fraudulent ratings were not taken down and the stores rating stayed high. I know this is opposite of what you are saying but my expierence made me a huge skeptic of ratings sites.

@scottyanimal: I've ordered quite a few things from them as well, and always been pleased. Most of their deals can't be beat!

Not to sound all pessimistic and such, but it seems to me that people ALWAYS complain before they want to remark on the good side of things. IMHO, a delayed ship time or issue with 1 order will get a lot more attention than the other 100,000 that shipped on time with no issue.

@anniefrannie: yea i guess i never think about writing something nice about good experiences as much as i do about bad experiences.

vote-for3vote-against

yeah this is NOT FREE its .01 and 4.87 for shipping. You should include shipping in your pricing of deals. ITS NOT FREE!!!!!

vote-for4vote-against

@thilderbrand20: Being even more pedantic, this item isn't free even if you ignore shipping -- it costs $0.01. Nearly free, but not free. (Not the OP's fault -- the site itself says free.)

For $5 with shipping I'm in. My last retractable leash just died.

vote-for2vote-against

@brossow: thats true it does but if you take a half a second and look at the site it shows .01. I only know that cause i was gona add it!!!!!

Anyway still a good price.

Just make sure to double check the weight restraints on the leash. This looked like a great deal for me but the pic show a pretty flimsy cord. On reading the details the max weight for your dog is 45lbs. So this is still a great deal for someone with a smallish dog. My lab at 80 lbs is out of luck for this one - but thanks for the woot

This looks identical to the one sold by Harbor Freight Tools, which is frequently on sale for (IIRC) $3.99 - plus they frequently send out coupons for 20% off any item. It's heavy enough for our 40-pound dog.

@crowsnest: Umm ... whaa? The site says "Free!" in the big image (you can even see it in the thumbnail above) and of course also shows the $0.01 price (which, surprise surprise, is how I knew it wasn't technically free). Not sure what your point is. :-|

@dmpower: I'd need four of them for my 140lb Dane.

currently says out of stock

vote-for1vote-against

They often are available at Harbor Freight Sales for $2.99 or $3.99 + Tax - No shipping for in-store purchases.

Seems like a great deal but be careful of a small cord. They can cut you or someone else (or take off a finger) if your dog decides to make a run for it!

I've had very bad shopping experiences with IHTHT and will never buy from them again.

The products i received that worked were fine, albeit cheaply made (but what do you expect for the price you pay)

the items that DIDN't work - i received the runaround from customer service, and an unwillingness to actually make good on the problem either by sending me a replacement or an RMA.

the items in particular were a usb HDTV tuner and a wireless switch system... both of which arrived in non-working order, beatup packaging, and frankly... though i can't prove it, i would venture to say was someone else's return.

They lost a customer for life. I finally had to file a dispute with my credit card to get my money back, after a marathon session of passing the buck in their customer service department. Most of the reseller ratings that bothered to go into detail are spot on with my own experiences, so i have no reason to doubt them.

The thing is, you are mostly going to get unhappy customers who give scores on reseller rating sites.
