A lot of the 'albums' on this list are actually singles, so be wary.

I got a few good ones that were worth $3, just to save me the time of digging through my CD bins and ripping the damn things. The time savings alone is worth $3 (not to mention that I'm never going to actually dig them out).

Lots of good ones here:
Thriller
Kind Of Blue - Miles Davis
The Sound Of Music - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
Ten - Pearl Jam
Boston's debut album
At Folsom Prison - Johnny Cash
Born In The U.S.A.
Tenacious D

Lots of groundbreaking, important albums (okay, maybe not that last one).

Graceland by Paul Simon for $3? Get it if you don't have it. I dare you to listen to Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes without grooving. And everyone knows Call Me Al.

The popularity of this album contributed to the fall of Apartheid in South Africa.

@offline999: The original "halleljah"? Guess it doesn't matter that Leonard Cohen wrote that song in "84. Too many kids these days don't realize music existed before 1995. Awesome anonymous comment offline 999.

I got the 100 greatest movie songs album last time it was up, lots of really great music. The deal when I got it was $.99 for the 100 songs though. Lucky me, saved 2 bucks.

love a sale, but hate finding an album I paid $9.99 for only a few weeks ago just sitting there, all $2.99 now.

Check and make sure, some of the "albums" listed are not really albums, but are really 3 song selections. As always, buyer beware.

@thrillhouse74: Oh yeah, Leonard. Actually one of my wife's favorite artists. Sadly...not one of mine (but that's another story.) Cohen's a good song writer but like several good song writers (Dylan, Willie Nelson, Tom Waits off the top of my head ) his voice can be hard to get past if it's not your cup of tea. Those type of "singer" song-writers often find that other artist's covers of their songs become far more popular then their original recordings. I guess I should have specified, Jeff Buckley's cover put this song on the map. The Buckley cover is the "definitive" version that the "kids" who've covered it since have based their versions on.
Not sure what you mean by your "anonymous comment" comment. Did you plan to stop by my house to see how very much a "kid" I am not? Come on over "thrillhouse74" (if that is your real name) but don't be surprise when I tell you to "get off my lawn."
Geez...

It's been said but yeah, there are some really good deals here..however there is a bunch of garbage.

And leave it to Amazon to sell 2 and 3 song song albums with tracks for $.99 a piece for $2.99 for the album.. figures.

If you need some smoothing relaxing music playing in the background during a candle lit dinner with your significant other then '66 Must-Have Spanish Guitar Masterpieces' would be a solid choice.

(Wink..Valentine's Day is coming up and what better way to celebrate than a romantic candle lit dinner at home!)

@starbob: um, "This is Spinal Tap"??? hello???

vote-for1vote-against

@rayray8822: Tenacious D could be considered groundbreaking. Before that, comedy music was relegated to parody and versions of stand-up. They brought it to television and ultimately to movie theaters. That's something I suppose.

Picked up "London Calling" by the Clash - that's kind of a can't miss album right there!

@subrec: Did you see the part where I mentioned parody? Spinal Tap satirized metal bands of the era. Tenacious D went their own way. They started with a sort of stand-up and it grew from there.

Jeff Buckley "Grace"
The original "Hallelujah"...

@thrillhouse74: Yep...I made a mistake in my word choice. End of discussion.
Not really sure why you feel the need to be such a tool about it but, if it makes you feel all superior to be "right" on the internet, I'm glad I could make your day. Cheers...

(EDIT: Downvoting myself for feeding the troll)
