Great value. You will save quite a bit with this one.

Nice! I'll definitely be buying this!

@ryantoday: You may save a lot of money, but you sure won't save any time!

@xyo: If you use this deal to Recruit-a-Friend level all your toons, you're that much closer to quitting ;)

vote-for4vote-against

Do not buy this! If you need all the expansions then you have never played before and should treasure your saved time......

@cbarfield3: I will again point out that you can use Recruit-a-Friend on yourself and level your main account's characters with the second account very quickly, getting you into end-game content and increasing the likelihood of you becoming bored with the game sooner. If you are going to say it's a waste of time, then my point is that you can indeed save time (time you would have been willing to spend anyway) with this deal. You don't have to be new to the game to make good use of the lowered cost at all; there are more examples than just this one.

I will point out that you can buy Star Wars: The Old Republic which is released on the 20th. As someone who played Lineage2, Age of Conan, Final Fantasy XI, Rift, and WoW for 7 years. Wait for Star Wars, it's so vastly superior to WoW it's not even funny.
Then again, if you like playing with 8 year olds in a game where you can roll your face on the keyboard and beat the entire game, buy WoW. The difficulty level of the game is -6 on a 1-10 scale.
Yes, that's a negative six

Seeing as how the pandas are going to kill the game, you won't NEED more than that single free month.

@bosque: Finally someone understands :D

Good deal, I actually just quit because raiding was starting to feel like a job.

That aside, it is a good game with a ton to do. People will always say "such and such game that just came out/is about to come out is so much better and will kill WoW". Fact of the matter is blizzard has had 7 years of people actually playing the game to improve it. That experience makes it very difficult for the new games to get a foothold.

I use to play WOW. Than I took an arrow to the knee.

Totally worth it even for the free month. I plan on using my month to power level my monk when they release

I was a WOW player in 2006 & 2007, still my favorite game ever, but I don't play anymore. I've been wondering why they hadn't done this yet. They still say they have 10 Million players but I can't be the only one who quit and to get back into it, would cost at least another $60 (2 expansions) IF I could find all my old disks and registration numbers. (Which wouldn't be easy, now house, and new computer since last played)

I've been wondering how many people saw the ads for the new expansion (OK not that new) and thought it looked cool, then realized they had to buy WoW for $20, BC for $20, Wrath for $40 in edition to the $40 for Cataclysm, and decided that $120 plus $15 a month was too much for a game?

Feels different when you buy one expansion every 2 years or so.

vote-for3vote-against

@jayg71: Can't you just download it all without the disks once you are registered? That may have been post-2007 but I've been out of the game for a while too.

@jasonwatkins: OMG, Awesome Skyrim reference!!!!!! I love you!!!

vote-for1vote-against

@wustedwoot: It's an overused meme that has been going on since 2 days after Skyrim's release, he didn't come up with the reference, he senselessly copied it.

Been living under a rock? :P I'm kidding.

vote-for1vote-against

@buscemi: So I don't have to find the disks I had. But if a new player wanted to start (Without this deal) they would still need to get Wow + BC + Wrath and Cataclysm? or Battlechest + Wrath & Cayaclysm?

vote-for1vote-against

@jayg71: Looks like Battle Chest, Wrath, Cataclysm...

vote-for1vote-against

Well if a new player just wanted to check the game out all they would NEED is regular wow. They even made it free trial up to level 20. You could buy the expansions as you go but at this price you might just want to pick them all up and save the hassle.
