I bought one of these from their website a few months ago. I LOVE it!! It's so smooth and definitely great straight out of the box. The camera sucks, but I wasn't buying it for the camera. I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a tablet. I bought it to read PDF's mostly, and turning down the brightness allows me to read longer without straining my eyes and killing the battery. ;)

Is there a way to get an extended warranty? I'm always skeptical of buying electronics with only a 90 day warranty, particularly a refurb. My friend is looking to buy a Kindle, but I'm trying to talk her into just putting the money toward a "real" tablet that will give her more bang for the buck.

I bought one last time too, and can't be happier. Pretty snappy, for 12 bucks more, got an app that prints wirelessly any documents (try that iPad nerds). Upgradeable memory card slot (again iPad) which is great for transferring pictures from your camera, as you just take the card out of camera and put into Thrive. Downloaded a movie from the app store for a plane ride, and didn't watch it. Plugged the thrive into my flat screen at home and boom, HD movie (iPad? eh no..). Flash drive access.

iPad display is nicer, but HD movies look great on this, as do downloaded photos.

If you are looking for a great priced tablet with lots of functionality, this is it.

@geethatsgr8: Just go to Squaretrade's website and enter the information for a quote. It will be emailed to you and you can get the warranty if you so desire.

I got one of these during the last offer. It did what it was suppose to do. HDMI was great. USB was great. SD slot was great. Had a dead pixel and had to send it back. I would have taken an exchange instead of my money back. Any who..
The speed of the tablet isn't all that great. I hate to say it, but my HTC View was a bit faster. I don't know if the specs support that, but that was my exp. If it didn't have a dead pixel, I would be happily using it today.

I got the 8GB version for the same price a few months back. Great tablet! I bought the charging dock on clearance at Best Buy for $10.

The tablet is kind of bulky but it feels comfortable in your hand because of the rubberized back which is replaceable, as well as the battery!

Tipping point for me to go Thrive is the user changable battery. It is an awesome tablet. More ports than most tablets too.

I also got one the last time 1saleaday offered them, and have been very pleased. This is a great price for a tablet if you've been wanting one, and it's plenty peppy enough for me!

Also - Toshiba released the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the Thrive yesterday, so you can upgrade as soon as you get it!
