It depends what they want to do on it. If it's for school this would work just dandily, but for games you will want a nicer one =)

Be aware that you cant really upgrade these with video cards or the like. They are slim cases, so only a small assortment of parts are compatible. This is a workstation for a business or school and that is about all it is good for.
