Is it just me or has thinkgeek gotten a little lame.

Fraking fraky frak frak. I ordered all my stuff LAST NIGHT because site said deals end at midnight. Well guess what? They're all STLL the same price. Timmy lied.I could have saved $5? Frak.

vote-for14vote-against

I like the free shipping because it's good for redeeming Geek Points, which you can only redeem some once per order. Without having to worry about shipping costs, I can break things up into multiple orders and redeem more points.. means more stuff... means more FUN!!

vote-for0vote-against

Free shipping not on entire site....

If so, I'd order a few of these for stocking stuffers!

Did someone say Bacon Croutons for $0.99 each with free shipping?! Not in the same way that I just did!

@mike11212: It's not just you. This might get me flamed, but that's fine. They've gotten greedy. Their Foosh mints used to be 4 tins for $10.99. Suddenly they're $4.49 EACH and no multi-pack deals like they used to have. That's a double in price since my last purchase. No reason, not a manufacturer increase, I just bought them elsewhere for $5 for 3 tins. They've gotten the name; now they've gotten greedy - their prices were already high to begin with because they were a specialty shop but now they're randomly increasing product prices because they're popular/nerdy enough that they can get away with it and they know people will pay it (Foosh is just an example, I've been a customer for years and I'm seeing a serious trend).

vote-for1vote-against

Yes!
And btw check the "under $10" gifts, as I saw things there that weren't in the clearance section or the sale section.

Or I'm unobservant and things blurred together.

Romulan Ale? Jack root beer?

Sound yummy. anyone ever had them? Mail order beverages ftw!

vote-for9vote-against

I also have to say- I love ThinkGeek's stuff, but not their prices! Many of the items are exclusives, and they make you pay for it! When you can find stuff cheaper- it's almost always a LOT less!

vote-for0vote-against

i was gonna grab that led tetris desk lamp... but out of stock. ah well tg, maybe next year.

vote-for4vote-against

@profsmokedawg: just bought 5 bags of this for $5....thanks

@notoriouscheech: I think it's my gf's fault. She made me hide my mickey mouse and star wars crap :(

vote-for1vote-against

So I was looking at these from the sale, http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/bec4/ and was wondering, if as they aged, they enlarge, and make it difficult to fully empty your data??? :)

vote-for2vote-against

Sadly, even with free shipping, most of their products, even on the clearance section, are still cheaper on amazon.

vote-for4vote-against

@littlejon326: Except for Bawls. A case of 24 is the same price as Amazon and doesn't have free shipping. Shipping has always been a deal breaker when ordering Bawls so this is an awesome deal for me.

vote-for4vote-against

@mike11212: Hate to agree....but....yeah. They have neat products but if you look around you can find most of them elsewhere and not pay the shipping and maybe even find better prices (amazon). Also, my geek points long expired, yes my fault for not paying attention, but still...

vote-for3vote-against

@theend404: my geek points expired too wasn't worth using on anything. Their loyalty program reminds me of delta skymiles, just not worth it.

vote-for0vote-against

Woo! Got a Titanium Spork and 8-Bit Christmas Stocking :D

vote-for2vote-against

@zoomtard: I agree, they have been jacking prices up the last couple years. Sometimes I go there to just check out neat products, a lot of the time you can find the same product cheaper at other sites like Amazon. Although they do have quite a few exclusives. I complain but I still seem to buy from there 2 or 3 times a year.

vote-for3vote-against

Time to order tons of cheap items all on separate orders! Gotta make up for all those other times I actually paid for shipping!

vote-for1vote-against

Well, I've been wanting to buy some random bacon goodies to add to my brothers bacon themed Christmas present, but was always hesitant to because it was a small order and shipping was 1/3 of the order. Today turned out to be my lucky day!

vote-for1vote-against

Funny, but this is a great example.

On the radio today, someone was going on about a study where they found if an online store offered full free shipping, including returns, it increases their purchases by 375 percent with less than a quarter returns.

Maybe think geek will pull their heads out of their butts and keep it at free shipping. I love the toys, but the prices always kill it for me.

vote-for1vote-against

uber lame that the free shipping doesn't extend to alaska or hawaii.

vote-for1vote-against

Picked up a case of Bawls. I bet they're losing money on this.

vote-for1vote-against

It still seemed to work at 1:50 am Tuesday, mountain time. It also claimed that the deal would not work for items that are on discount in the disclaimer, but still worked when I tried. Good times!
