Great price. Hard to find this controller any cheaper. I was browsing Newegg, came across this controller and came strait to woot to post. @wnyx585am beat me to it :)

Do you have to buy some kinda attachment to use this with a PC? Anybody know?

For a PC, yeah you need a wireless adaptor as the XBOX uses proprietary wireless tech, not Bluetooth. For a PC I'd recommend a wired controller. No adaptor, just plug into USB and go. And it's automatically detected and set up for a lot of games.

@linkdude64: Newegg will occasionally have the PC version on a good sale. I assume the PC version comes with the adapter. I believe the PC version works with Xbox 360 also. I think I have seen it for $39.99 on sale, but not sure. Not sure how much the adapters cost by themselves.

Thanks for the deal. The Amazon total was actually $35.61 but the
Newegg total was $27.99.

Okay, thanks for the info guys. I was thinking about making my pc a Wii too, so I was hoping it would be bluetooth. Oh well. Thanks again

@malio: Thanks! 2 day free Prime shipping sealed the deal for me at Amazon. Got a pair for this price.

Meh on the Amazon "deal." I'll always support those that create a deal over those that simply match it, but only after enough pepole bitch and whine to them to do so.

@spyder69696969: It seems that lately Newegg has been doing a lot of first moves (lower price or better deal) and then Amazon matches them. I like Amazon, but you do have a good point.

@linkdude64 you CAN use the wireless controller, I bought the adaptor and it works great. You need the Microsoft Xbox 350 Wireless Receiver for Windows (ironically, I got it for my Mac and it works too). Make sure you get the official microsoft one, and not a knockoff (I hear the knockoff ones suck).

I appreciate when someone mentions an Amazon matched deal. Especially when it's "Prime" eligible. While Newegg ships this free (4-7 Business Days) - 2 Business Days would cost an additional $11.32. That would be free for those with Amazon Prime. [I realize ShopRunner would equal that...although, I suspect many more people use Prime.]

Either way - this is a good deal!

I want to get this because it's such a good deal, but aren't there new silver colored ones that are supposed to be a lot better? There was a recent Woot deal on those but I missed it, $35 I think. So not sure to wait for another one of those deals on the newer ones or get this instead. Any advice?

@karlsworld: I have heard that the silver ones have quality issues. Not sure how true that is. I think the only difference (other than color) is that the d-pad is adjustable.

@digitalsplit: Newegg has changed some of their shipping to free two day. Unfortunately, it seems to be a decision on their back end, so you will never know it until your package arrives early. I think four of my last five orders came in two days even though I selected the free shipping (4-7 days) option. The only one that was "slow" shipping was some toner.

@wnyx585am: thanks, wnyx, I decided to grab a couple.
