Technically they have a maximum number of toppings (10)
10 topping would make an awesome pizza lol
bacon, pepperoni, ham, green peppers, onions, jalapenos, mushrooms, 3 cheeses, sausage and I still have one left maybe chicken :)
@tmontgom: Or more Bacon?
A little OT - but Papa John's head bobing/swinging in his latest Super Bowl commercial w/ Manning is killing me.
Pizza's are good though.
@tknoman Definitely more bacon. Chicken? What was I thinking:)
my parents did this a while back and found that the more topping you order, the skimpier each topping is.. (at least at our local Papa John's). They were really disappointed and the resulting pizza..
@hodakaroadtoad I ordered one with 8 toppings and it felt like it weighed 5 lbs. I don't think that is skimping lol and being someone who loves pizza but doesn't normally order from Papa Johns that pizza was awesome today:)
@tmontgom: good to hear.. I guess the moral is: If your Papa John's already sucks, this deal is not going to make it any better. :)
@hodakaroadtoad I know what you mean. Honestly I hadn't ate Papa Johns for 2 or 3 years because I thought it sucked compared to the many better options of pizza places but after my pizza today I am giving them another chance but only with a coupon of course. They are way to high priced without one:)
Ten toppings? That'll be the end of me.
I see these deals all the time, and yet, very few people want to add that PAPA JOHNS (profanity) BLOWS! Worst pizza ever. Worst chain pizza ever. Ate there once and will never return. If you're living on the streets, sure, eat papa johns, otherwise just go some place else.
When you order they provide a space for additional comments. I challenged them to prove to me that it's possible for a pizza to have too many toppings... When I picked up the pizza the staff came from the back to stare down the man who made the challenge. They opened the box to show me roughly 3 pounds of their assorted toppings, layers of cheese and a hearty helping of sauce - enough to choke a small land mammal. They informed me that they had to run it through the oven a second time on double speed to cook it all the way. I nodded as if to say "challenge accepted". It was quickly became soggy and greasy, but my boys and I tore through it during the NFC championship game. Touche Papa Johns workers - and the theory is still unfounded!
I would suggest if you go all ten to order well done, dough cooks slowly when loaded with toppings.

I guess it all depends on your local franchisee. MY local Papa Johns will skimp on toppings when a coupon code is used.
Mine is hit and miss. We can get 7 toppings and a 2 liter for 10.99 all the time, so this deal is only OK here. But the skimpiness on toppings is so inconsistent I think it has to do more with who is making the pizza and how busy they are.
