I've got one. I use it instead of a bed, keeping it set up in a metal stand. At 160 pounds it hasn't changed much from daily use (although it's never been exposed to the elements). If you're in it with someone else it'll be a snug fit.

We're receiving a couple of reports of people getting error messages when trying to check out while using the Chrome browser. I'm looking into the issue but if you receive an error just go ahead and use Firefox or a different browser which appear to be working fine. If you still receive an error while using a different browser or have any other feedback that might be helpful please let me know here or via email. Thanks!

@treklightgear: The header and sidebar in Chrome loaded very quickly; it was the main content that struggled. A couple refreshes later and it loaded up, but I switched to Firefox for the checkout.

Still looking into the issue but at this point it likely won't be something we can resolve until tomorrow. We're definitely seeing orders come through so it's working for many of you but I'll do my best to figure out what's causing the issue and get it resolved. It may not be isolated to Chrome but it could still be browser/version related so it doesn't hurt to try whatever you have available and see if one works for you.

If you're still having trouble tomorrow you can always give us a call during business hours and we'll take your order over the phone. Apologies for the inconvenience while we get this resolved.

@stagew8t: I'm not seeing a 6.5' wide hammock at http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/search_10151_10104?keyword=hammock so I'm wondering if you could name the make/model you found. Or is it brick and mortar only?

(I'm guessing you didn't notice that it's a double hammock.)

Ordering is still not working. That was a whole lot of work for a rejection. I heard Trek Light goodies are supposed to make you happy. I've been rejected from experiencing the happiness. I'm going back to clutching my Eeyore in a fetal position in the corner. No happiness for me... No happiness...

I'm using Dolphin HD browser on my Droid X and am also getting an error - right when I hit Continue after I specify a password (new account).

I have tried to order using Fireox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer using both Credit Card and PayPal [be warned there is a $2.00 fee on PayPal orders] with no success. Always shoots back the database error.

We just took our double hammock camping. My kids loved it, my husband loved napping in it, and I loved reading in it. Even though it rained, the hammock dried out really quickly. I do recommend the go anywhere rope kit for setting it up - it literally took me less than 5 minutes to get the hammock set up and ready for use.

Can't apologize enough for the problems many of you have been having ordering. We've got some talented people working on the issue and hopefully will get to the bottom of it soon. Having your website fail during a Woot sale is the stuff nightmares are made of, send your positive thoughts our way and we'll get this fixed soon.

In the meantime we're taking orders over the phone (800-960-1471) so you can call in anytime and get your order placed. If you don't reach us it simply means we've got too many calls going at once, just call back (or leave us a message with your info) and we'll get you taken care of.

Today could be off to a better start but don't worry, we'll extend the sale as long as necessary to make sure every one of you that's had a problem ordering gets your order through. You have my word no one will go hammock-less during this Woot sale!

@prinko: The technical problem we're having is occurring during the checkout process, we haven't seen any issues loading the homepage and that's the first report I've heard. I'd try refreshing and maybe clearing your cookies/temp files to see if that helps. Let me know if there's anything else I can do and don't hesitate to call in for assistance.

Hallelujah!!! It appears we've resolved the problem, it was all thanks to an SQL database failure and thankfully we're now seeing orders go through successfully. If you're still having any troubles please let me know immediately.

I sincerely hope that anyone who had problems ordering will revisit the website and place your order. Had one for close to 2 years. I'm not polite to it and it has stood up to my abuse like a champ. Slept in it for a week in Yosemite and nap in it almost every weekend. The double is perfect to stretch out in by yourself or snuggle up with your sweetie ...until the kids find you and jump in. Either way, it's a party! Can't recommend it enough.
